What a beast! I'm also orienting for a new mobile workstation with near desktop CPU performance, with a good keyboard and a well lit high refresh-rate screen. Oh, maybe most important is 100% hardware support running Linux. The Gemini seems to be the only laptop out there that is relatively affordable and without gimmicks I do not need. How is it holding up so far, could you do integrate a benchmark in a future review video? Thanks for you your video!

I have made an update video on this laptop, the video is scheduled to go public on 25th Nov 2024 (next Monday). kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqKmkmmGocujrJo The CPU performance is top notch!!! it competes with high end server CPUs from AMD and intel! I use kdenlive to render videos, it renders UHD@25fps at ~88fps! 1440p@60fps at ~200fps! and 1080p@60fps at ~300fps! Thanks!

That's great! Waiting for full review. I would love if you tell a little bit more about TuxedoOS - on one hand I'm thinking about replacing it with Arch as soon as I get the laptop, but part of me is wondering if it's not just because I'm used to set everything up by myself. Maybe the out of the box, supported Linux experience is worth it?

I prefer my own config because I use my laptop differently to most people. TuxOS is amazing for people who expect a good desktop OS - it's a complete, easy to use windows replacement. It's full of features and just works. I prefer a manual tiling window manager under wayland. I had no issues using TuxOS on this laptop but it just doesn't suite the way I work. I've installed Arch and setup my config on this just like my previous laptop.

@@NajamReviewsTech Got you - this is a cost of tinkering and customization, at some point the defaults no longer cut it :)
