Update March 19, 2024: TU 20.2 the devs made it so you can’t access the countdown vendor until level 40. Just skip that part. The most important thing is max armor on your gear with bloodsucker on the backpack 🎒. Stick to the plan otherwise.

What would you recommend as being the best way to get lvl 31 high end or superior gear now that the devs took the countdown vendor away?

@@TheLegendaryHero13 There isn't any. At level 31 you won't be seeing any yellow gear at all, really, and if you do get lucky and get a piece it'll be far from any you can effectively use. I love Division games, but this is getting old with the devs going nuts nerfing anything that benefits players in any way, shape or form. So many bugs in this game an d what is the priority? "We need to "fix" Danny Weaver." "We need to "fix" the countdown vendor". Gah. I REALLY want to do watch farms but the devs hate players like me. They hate people who work for a living and do their best to contribute to society. They hate us. I am a truck driver. I don't have time to sit for 12+ hours a day on a game. So I find solutions to help with that, and when the devs discover such a solution exists, they immediately devote all resources to "fixing" it. I so badly wish that ANY developer in the world besides Ubisoft came up with The Division. I apologize for the rant. Just frustrated that every time I see something on KZbin that MIGHT make gaming easier with a f8ull work schedule, it gets nerfed into the ground. Hate to say it, but making a build anywhere close to what is supposed to be in this video is near impossible now. It is no longer "a bit of prep work". An average player would have to make mules for months just hoping even purple gear drops that fits the bill. DISCLAIMER - I post here out of frustration, Bandito. Here's a slightly different version of the strategy: I've kept one of my 4 profiles at level 30. Over time, I've built up 3 main load-outs: Negotiator's Dilemma with a Chill-out mask and knee pads from Fenris group, Badger Tuff and and Sokolov Concern. Foundry Bulwark with the same mask and knee pads used in the Negotiator's Dilemma build and a variation with the Ridgeway's Pride chest piece Hardwired with a Murikami mask and Waveform holster The pre-Warlords story line should have netted you Capacitor and Chameleon ARs and a Nemesis Marksman Rifle Level 30 blueprints allow you to reconfigure a Scorpio and a Chatterbox to level 30. If you've collected all of the masks of the pre-Warlord story line, you can also get a level 30 Shield Splitter. You can play Descent and get a level 30 Vindicator My additional weapons include Dark Winter and Safety Distance SMGs. In my approach, you start with the regular story line. Once you get to the White house, talk to Manny and choose your first skill, you have enough space in your backpack for one load-out's worth of gear and weapons. Load up your preferred load-out and take the helicopter to Warlords of New York. As soon as you land, put on your chosen load out and make your way to Haven. At this point, you can max out the skill tree for three of the specialists and create additional load-outs with the specialist of choice. For me, it's the Survivalist for the Negotiator's Dilemma and Foundry Bulwark builds, and Demolitionist for the HardWired build. You can go through the entire Warlords story line with these three builds, or you can add level 31-39 pieces as you progress. The big draw for that approach is that any blue, purple or gold level item can be reconfigured with 40-level attributes. If you happen to pick up a close-to-God-roll item, it can be a real performance boost. When you reach level 39, keep an eye on your point progression. Just before you hit level 40, move your favorite level 40 build to this character. Once you hit 40, put on the level 40 loadout and go kick Keener's ass. That process can be done in around 8 hours. Lastly: DO NOT RETURN TO WASHINGTON BEFORE USING KEENER'S WATCH. If you distribute the SHD points in Keener's watch to build up the resources of choice *before* buying the shared resources blueprint in Washington, you can go over the set limit of a given resource. Caveat: I've not done this since the latest update, so it's possible that they've closed that exploit as well. One real disappointment with the latest update: Up to now, you were able to use level 40 mods on all of your skills. They've closed that exploit and, in the process, also removed the ability to use the specialist-specific mods for the 3 specialties that you can max out in WoNY. Not cool...

I always start new character in DC, buy the shared materials and blueprints, do the weekly shd project to get the Exotic cache. OPEN the cache, either put it in stash or use it, then boost to NY. Then as soon as the NY manhunt is done you get a NEW shd project AND you get the materials and blueprints through the manhunt

@jmh31890 it's made with the thought of new players in mind also that may not have many blueprints or materials to share I believe. His method is actually spot on as far as everything else goes. I just pointed out what I do as a pro tip to everyone

@@kingslayerz1874 by the time you make it to New York you have the blueprints for hard wired at least, and I'm sure many more high end pieces. The main point isn't blueprints, though, but resources (which he he mentions in the video) and a newer player would have better outcomes by doing it the way you and I mentioned. My guess was that tux is juggling a ton of stuff and didn't sit out and draw a flow chart which is completely understandable. Plus, now he can go back in a few months and "update" the guide and get another round of clicks which I think we all want for the channel and thus the game. I want him to be successful, anyway

How far into the new char must you be to unlock shared mats/projects? Wondering if Tux was simply trying to minimize the time played per char to allow for collection of mats at the end of a 3ish hr run? I just stated in DC and realized I would have to unlock shared and projects to allow for your method- and not sure just how far I need to rock before doing so.

@andrewmarceau422 if you start new charecter in DC, purchase shared materials and blueprints from Blueprint vendor in the white house, It's right away in NY. Only thing is some BPs are locked behind bench level and Division Credits are not shared.

Been doing this since I got my 1st maxed toon sorted and SHD1200 (800 to watch left me 400 to spend ). I have 2 mules, 1 x main toon and a WoNY toon. Happy at 15k SHD now too :) As soon as there is a new expertise update coming, I get a WoNY toon sorted, materials are maxed out and simply spend printer filaments on proficiency on the new items to hit the new Expertise level.

I just use a skill build with empress and wyvern pieces at low level. Rarely go down redoing warlords. As you said the turret and assault drone will take you through all the missions.

I run WoNY alot and am always looking to make my runs easy as possible. To start i always run to the whitehouse first, then boost to 30. This opens up Inaya so I can buy that share plans early. Giving me all the weapon mods i need in NYC and they also dont cost Ecredits of you craft them on the lvl 31 crafting bench as soon as you get to Haven. As for build, my one shot Headhunter build is great to lvl 37/38. All that extra XP is beautiful. I ran a skill build and didnt love it,even with max expertise on the skills. But today i will try something like this vid. One build, a couple of weapons and hopefully set to farm a liytle faster Xd

Every time you start a NYC run on the way to Haven you will get one purple gear drop. Eventually you can collect a whole skill build set to speed run. A whole level 31 build with in sync on a weapon and kinetic momentum and combined arms. I use 3 piece emperess, 2 hana u, 1 wyvern. I don’t need to farm a build and can fly through until the Keener fight without looking at loot pickups

you can avoid the extra exp grind to get to level 40 after completing the manhunts if you just call for backup on each of the 4 missions, even 1 other in the party is enough of an exp boost to avoid most of the requirement, maybe 1 or 2 extra activites at most, if you also CfB doing the other manhunt related activities, such as police HQ, cleaner fire at JTF safehouse etc then you will be 40 when done with manhunt+castle

I just got back to the game a week ago. I am on my 4th character. By mistake a went to the lady that sells the Blueprints and I saw those two things that you can share resources and I couldn’t believe that in 5-6 hours it is worth it to level a new character than spend weeks farming for resources.

Great Advice for Mule leveling. I want to add a side note and correct me if anything is out of place, but if you get an level 31 item and need to modify it, you can actually put it into the stash and use your main character to do so which probably already has the most crafting materials. As far as the Countdown goes, you still will need the materials to craft items.

I just created a new toon and got a lvl 31 rock and Roll Shotgun and put it in the stash and I was able to recalibrate it and it stayed lvl 31 so put it back in stash for the new alt @@TuxedoBandido

i’m a returning player to division 2 i’m a solo with level 100 watch and tend to just play for fun and not focus on all these insane builds for strongholds and raids so is it still worth me getting all these extra characters as i only have one with just a couple skill and dps builds and any build i wanna make i go and grind for the items in countdown for the fun so should i still be making these characters (sorry for the paragraph,good video tho)

Just a heads up: They patched the countdown vendor and you cannot access it unless you're level 40. Plus all the season caches from the event are on level 40 now. Plus, you should have said that the exotic caches do not transfer to the mailbox when unclaimed and you lose them.

What about the other way around, I wonder if I could use some of these steps to buff up my main new character? I'm new to the game but I've hit a slog at world tier 4, some of the steps to get resources for the benches are extremely grindy and easy to get a burn out

A pro tip: Create a fresh character, boost to level 30 instead of straight to WONY, buy all the blueprints from Inaya, get to WONY and you have everything shared. Takes only a bit longer to complete the prologue tho. Depends on if it's worth having the shared bps while in New York

1) you can skip alot by just letting your main recalibrate low lvl gear. 2) armor on kill on weapon will get you tru most content. 3) you cant do Keener until lvl 40, so at that point just grab yr uber lvl 40 gear from your main.

Good Points certainly, but I feel like you can improve immensely, with little effort on the journey through WONY. What I did was get a new char to level 30 (via boost) farm open world, for Bulwark pieces, recallibrate them all to skill tier to create your own "Game Over build" - at level 30 though. Then if you wanna take it a step further get a single or two pieces of blue gear thats level 31, as that will allow you to recallibrate the full 170k armor onto it, and with that setup you will be nigh unkillable, while having full skill build turret drone or shield as you mow down WONY. 3rd step is to open heroic boxes at level 30 and get lucky and get either a capacitor or Elmo, and you dont have to redo your gear at all before Keener. Best of luck agents!

Apparently they patched the vendor today. Lame. Ok to skip the countdown vendor. I did it a bunch of times before I figured out countdown. Just get max armor on all your gear and you’re good. 👍🏻

@@TuxedoBandido I'm working on it, also a huge tip that synergizes with Bloodsucker is if you have the Hunter-Killer on your main character, you can just open the chest in Haven and claim it. Now the other thing I don't know is if you can reach level 31 in DC before starting WONY. Because I did a fresh lvl 1, did prologue, boosted to 30 through the store, and did some projects before so was halfway to 31. And also FYI as a level 30 you CAN access the Countdown vendor in DC. Because if you could get to 31 and still access the vendor that would be the workaround. Because ideally, at least in my opinion, the best setup would be Picaros, Fox's Prayers, Contractors gloves, hunter-killer/zero f, liquid engineer, and hollow man. Once I'm done with my mule I will check if it's possible to be 31, in DC, and access countdown vendor.

Honestly, it seems like the Countdown hack being nerfed has changed pretty everything that follows in terms of putting the build together. Can't get named items, can't get golds, can't get stuff to sell. Makes this difficult to follow, if nothing else.

Why won’t they let us upgrade our stash space? When you put how many gear sets and weapons now 300 is nothing. They could even charge like $10 for 100 stash space. $5 for more backpack space. What do you guys think?

You’re on your first character (main)? Then yes, you need to get to DC. The mules are for character 2-4. Once your main buys the sharing all have access to stash.

Go to the desk where you can spend your shd skill points to select and unlock all other skills. I figured they’d have them just assigned for you already. Anyways, you will unlock more skills in NyC as you go. But all original skills should be accessible.

I just erase a character, start new. I do everything in the game, cp's, hostages, territory ect ect. When I'm done that I'm good to hit 40. I then just grab a 40 build from my main and delete the end bosses including keener.

Destroying a character does NOT destroy the expertise of skills. So first time around, raise skill expertise on preferred Wony skills. Each subsequent Wony run, raise others. If you don't have technician, gunner, firewall unlocked on Wony completion, it's worthwhile to purchase them -- it allows for flexibility of using the 4th character for a full week on exotic acquisition. Keep the 4th character until the day before you want to rerun Wony. Then destroy all stuff and some crafting, then buy the share accounts option. Sure. In a typical week I can obtain 100+ exotic components. I do this by starting on a Sunday ONE Character and maxing resources for the 10 minute exotic SHD Requisition reruns (10MESHDRR). Any surplus gets used by other Characters (This is a character I reran WONY with the previous Monday). 20x I restart a character, run to base, level up to 30, buy the Shared materials blueprint, obtain 250 either water, food, or components, and commit 500 fabric and 500 receiver comps plus other resources to get the SHD cache. wait a minute, then logout & delete the character. I do that 20X. I then switch to a permanent character & run Countdown 18+ times - crushing everything, until fabric & receiver are full, or close to full. I can then buy 10 exotics. At this point if I'm short I convert SHD to required resources. I then run for another 20x. Total 50+ exotics in 13 hours. Prior to Sunday, I've done the daily, weekly, descent, legendary, summit & SHD Req for every character which usually yields. There is an alternative however. Since resources stack when you buy a resourcesharing blueprint, you can simply rerun WONY 5 times to be able to run the (10MESHDRR) 100 times. The trick is maxing all resources on the wony character BEFORE buying the blueprint. This applies not just for raw materials, but also optimization materials . Full week on exotic acquisition refers specifically to the newly WONY complete character. That's why IMO you should run WONY on a Monday - you can squeeze out an extra exotic. You're at level 40, so you have a week to complete the PVE projects: 7 dailies ,4 weeklies , plus DZ projects. Most players will try to do all projects for every character. In shared mode, the SHD level is increasing for each character, the WONY Char increases total useable SHD passively by 33% on a 4 CHAR account. But if you prioritize projects by exotic/min and spread your fixed amount of time across 4 accounts, you can increase exotic counts without spending 33% more time. @@TuxedoBandido

If you're not in a hurry to rerun New York (in the next 10 minutes) but can afford a few days, the 20.1 update allows for a great opportunity to make a fantastic starting build. During each "200 minutes level 30 exotics run" (2ML30) look at the new pieces - the new exotic and the new NAMED piece. Save 6-7 exotics rather than crushing them(weapons: 1-2 ARs, 1SMG, 1LMG),(gloves, mask, knees), and whatever nicely supportive/rolled NAMED pieces (holster, knee, pack, chest, weapons). In 60 runs you can get a decent build (including the build pieces the 2ML30 gives you - which doesnt change much.) It may take three 2ML30 runs, but you're not wasting time.

Hard wired x4, china light chest with skilled and death grips or pallisade 1 piece, all at level 30 = you can solo the entirety of NYC without changing a single piece of gear in 2.5 hours. Im bad at the game so my time isnt even the best

7:30 this is incorrect. I have purchased literally everything from Inaya on my main yet my mule does not have access to the tinkering library. Only Versatile, Unstoppable Force, Concussion and Creeping Death are available to recalibrate on backpacks for example.

If they patch it no one loses as this is the long and hard way to do this anyway. Start a level 1 character in DC and run to the white house, unlock the first skill, boost to 30. Then you're 30 in DC and can hit Inaya immediately. Takes less time than getting to haven if you go NYC at creation anyway. Make a level 30 skill build and you can solo the new York campaign easily in about 2.5 hours. You can farm exotics in many ways at 30 including reconfiguring ones you've farmed on your main (some of them) The method shown in the video is *more* difficult than it needs to be. Starting from 0 is harder than starting from not-zero.

Nobody builds level 31 gears and weapons, first try to get to all 4 safehouses, no need to fight anything but one easy CP, once you opened all 4 you are already lv 32-33, completed one main mission in group then you are lv 34. Best to build your gears and weapons at lv 34 and 37. Save the gears and weapons you want to build in stash, let your lv 40 reconfigure them, dont waste your countdown currency for this, save them for exotic.

So I finally bit the bullet and deleted my 4th Character to Run a new Mule through WONY. Loving the MMR/Shotgun strategy. Buuut, one Huge thing happened as soon as I got to Haven. I received a message saying I had Deliveries in my Stash, so I went and checked it out, to find a Brand New Level 40 Enforcer Shotgun waiting for me...this was never an option for the version of the game I bought, and I've never had it b4 today. Not sure if it was a bug or what, but Fuck Yeah! I have an Enforcer now! 😁
