Tuya Not Working in Home Assistant? How to Fix

All my Tuya devices stopped working in early February 2024. Thankfully there is already a fix.

Thanks! Finally haha. I almost moved everything to Zigbee... Only my bathroom thermostat is still Tuya.

Tuya is a brand not a protocol

@@gertbeckers6423 Correct. But still. You need a working Tuya integration in HA for the Tuya wifi devices. All my Zigbee devices are not from Tuya btw.

So you have a Tuya hub where all your tuya devices are connected right? I also run 18 tuya devices but I have them directly connected trough ZHA (Zigbee Home Automation) and don't even own a tuya hub. Problem is: recently all devices started acting up and spamming my zigbee network to the point of instability. Would you recommend a tuya hub? Can it run without internet?

I don’t have a hub. They are just connected to the smart life / tuya app. All my Tuya devices are wifi. Not Zigbee.

And I don’t know the answer to your question. I have not used a hub, and I don’t know if they would work without internet. 🤔

Except it's flaky as hell. Everything comes in but things fall of HA but are still connected in Tuya.

Tuya is a platform it can use different protocol zigbee, wifi or BT

Cannot find User Code in Tuya Smart app settings

Go to “Me” setting then click on the shape in the top right corner next to the scan button. Then go to account settings then User Code

I found the code. In the Smart Life app… Me → Hexagon in the upper right corner → Account and Security → User Code.

I hope they neutered their cloud information and data gathering crap. Until they do I womt use Tuya or any cloud devices
