Yeah, it’s mostly in developing countries, and Moldova is considered to be one of the poorest countries in Europe.

Many countries have planned to do switchovers between 2020-2025. As someone from a developing country I prefer analogue. We tried a top box and satellite dish to watch digital TV back in 2015 when it was very expensive for us to have analogue cable since the nearest house from us was rather far. When it rains, analogue can be snowy but at least you can still make out what you're seeing and hearing. Digital on the other hand is basically unusable in such situations, and it rains a lot where I'm from.

Romania had shut off all their channels untill 1 january 2020, Libya, Kosovo and Turkey still relies on Analog. Ukraine and Moldova maybe they will shut off untill mid 2021 And Middle Eastern countries still have Analog Russia they switched off big commercials channels, but not private and regional one

Analog cable still existed in Germany til mid-2019 (Unitymedia) which surprised me a bit. There was no sign of any shutdown and I kept using it for demonstrating and fixing vintage CRT TVs on a different YT channel, then suddenly there was a notice at the bottom of the broadcasts on all channels that analog cable will be shut down by the end of the month, and after that month ended they had a static "analog cable has been shut down, use DVB-C" type announcement for a week longer and after that analog was fully dead :(

@@justlaz1444 dvb-t is terrible for dxing - the most you can get is a tropo if you're lucky and even then the picture is all blocky or as usual pitch black, while e skips (like the one in this video) can't happen at all because the frequencies are too high. the same goes more or less for other digital formats
