Mainly did this as I haven't done an edition of TV idents during an LBJ year, not including 1969 as that was his outgoing year. Also released because today (the 24th to be exact) is my birthday!

Happy birthday you are younger than i thought. but these old logos are so cool any generation likes them. i found your channel because i was nostalgic for 90s logos but these 60s logos are cool too. but you are so young you can't even remember a time before youtube when we all saw logos like these every day and we didn't have much to watch so we remember the pre 2000s logos very well .even in the 90s in my region we had like 10 channels. in the 60s probably only 2 .youtube was so mind blowing in 2005 compared to tv. as nostalgic as i am life could get so boring before youtube sometimes.

the ATV (UK) ident shown was used until 1968, not 1969 - they changed it to the logo morphing in in a similar way to the Zoom 2 ident used from 1969 until their replacement by Central

"TV Excelsior", channel 9 in São Paulo, after bankruptcy in 1970, its concession was given to Adolpho Bloch who in 1983 became another broadcaster, "Rede Manchete". With its bankruptcy, it became "RedeTV!". Who was replaced by TVE, was its Rio de Janeiro branch on channel 2, and today it is TV Brasil, a government broadcaster. And the country was renamed "Republica Federativa do Brasil" in 1968, two years before the broadcaster's cancellation.

São Paulo's channel 9 is almost cursed, because every network installed on this frequency has bankrupt hahahahahaha Rio de Janeiro's channel 2 was originally given to Gilson Amado in 1975, a teacher who gave the educational model of television, but he died in 1979, and for the next 19 years the federal government didn't have an idea to do management the station, in 1998 they sold the channel to an social organization and in 2007 renationalize the channel, since then now is part of Brazil's Communication Company (EBC).

Yea very historic i wonder what tv was like in the colonial period tv started when the colonial period was ending. so most of the footage got lost or they didn't even have time to put transmitters everywhere before independence.

23:38 Because I could see Bengali text, I think this ident was retired approximately in December 1971, when Bangladesh gained independence. 25:24 This ident uses the Indonesian orthography from 1972, so it couldn't be used before that. Also, this ident is only for a local TV station in Surabaya, not TVRI.

Not mentioned on this video is the Philippines since there is no Station IDs in 1966 because according of them was Pre-Martial Law TV stations are lost in 1972 However, the only pre-1972 station ID was DZBB 7 taken on the film "Ang Salarin" which is uploaded by several uploaders It was remained unknown what TV Station ID looks like in the Philippines like ABS-CBN, GMA(which is formerly as RBS), and many others before 1972

Very interesting this is the year my mom was born in. i think this era is quite mysterious to me i have a hard time imagining what life was like back then and what tv was like. some footage of the 1960s looks relatively modern but other footage looks like ye olden days. i know more about the 50s and earlier. i also find it interesting how you got some very brief footage of countries that don't exist anymore like the united Arab republic Rhodesia and south Vietnam. we all know about the ussr related countries but these short lived countries that existed before the 80s are very overlooked i wish there was tv back before the 20th century .

Do you also find it suprising to see footage from India? If you would look up Indian TV footage from a certain time period you will notice that you won't find much footage before 1980. I was very suprised when somebody (stewssman)uploaded the 1959 Doordarshan ident back in January.

@@VTSGsRock Yea i didn't expect it for sure. remember that in the 1960s countries like india where extremely poor. only a handful of people even owned a tv and had electricity at home. even in first world countries nobody owned a vcr. so the footage had to come from the archives.

hehehehe it's time for another REVIEW!!!!!!!! (at first i just read 1996 and not 1966 at first 😭) 0:48-0:59-1:18: honestly time has just passed alot that i think you can easily recreate those logos without the necessary use of blender. (i might be either right or wrong.) 1:42: the fire looks like it's practically dancing 4:40: ok im not really here for the "inspired by NBC" art here but more for the kinda goofy music 6:03: by far this symbol kinda looks like something a robotnik/eggman inspired mechanical supervillain would use for his really evil robotic cyborg family he's producing to take over the world 8:44: honestly by far knowing i have saw a few original RTL closedowns from the 80s, i just like to think this logo did not really last till the 80's (ok i mean it lasted till 1984 but i think it might have been re-edited but without almost any change we could notice.) 10:06: asides from this ident kind of being a sky background, while some cool and really epic/abstract depiction of some mast is scrolling to the top. the use of orchestral music in this, and a futuristic logo that says TV like "T" makes it look like you V saw the classic and the modern kind of collide. 13:53: mfs really composed a medieval (or royal) fanfare to a TV station (alright you might correct me on this cause i dont really know obscure/niche parts history) 14:13: i dont really know if sovietic home video cameras have arrived to hungary on that time but i like to think this intro was made by 2 men carrying those huge TV cameras, including the one zooming onto the lens. 14:28: baseball 15:09: i kind of love when TV station logos in this era have this like "i dont know how to explain it at all color mixing and stuff" design, they're totally modern for their age 16:25: this does kinda remind me of a "if ABC (britain tv station mentioned at 6:03) and RAI3 had a son" thing 16:32: by far the way those triangles smoothly appeared on the first letter V in the logo just makes this look like it's an totally exact and "perfect" recreation of this logo. 16:35: 1960s?? those graphics just look like they're straightup from the 80's or something, despite there being a old camera with the first logo in it 17:01: that mascot just predicted character customization in games!!!!!1111111111111111111111 17:15: this logo totally looks like something you'd see on a dystopian movie on the scene where they're going to air the news of how "good" stuff is going 17:26: totally false "headcanon": varig airlines had 100% ownership over brazilian TV stations and we did not realize it at all. 19:45: this totally sounds like when you totally have ran out of time and you totally have to finish the stage while slowly dying to death (don't ask me how i worded that.) on a wario-like game (no, not pizza tower but i just thought of that) 20:27: that bass tho (no, there are no trap 808s or dubstep basses there, i am talking about the slap you hear at the very end of this.) 23:56: i think i pirated the wrong star wars movie 25:10: by far this does look like those illustrations of a burning wheel or ball that you have totally saw atleast a few times in your lives i think that's it for the review
