They can. It was done in 1964 when Kabaka Mutesa II was forced to fire Katikkiro Michael Kintu after riots engulfed Bulange with people demanding Kintu's resignation. He was replaced by Joash Mayanja Nkangi.

Hey Dean, thank you for your presentation and information, I really applaud you on that. But I have been thinking about so many things since I started watching these episodes of namulondo eyuuga and I don't want to be controversial. That's why I have 10 questions or points on why. 1. What powers does mayiga have over kabaka reaching an extent of putting him in his armpits. 2. You said mayiga is backed by extra powers from the central government and that's why his able to put buganda on it's knees. 3. Your now saying the central government is calling mayiga and threatening him to let the landlords see their king and what ever happens after that would be his responsibility. 4. Since the central government has all the powers over this, why won't the government allow the landlords through the foreign affairs ministry and talk to the Namibian government to handle them gate passes and navigate through Namibia to see the king . 5. Your saying mayiga should let the landlords see kabaka and later script their information on the report they should give to buganda on their return. 6. Now your saying he can't make those elders lie to buganda and cling on the script he tables for them. 7. You said kabaka's recent video was scripted by mayiga to lie to buganda on the state of buganda's address. 8. I ask again what powers does mayiga have over kabaka to reach an extent on making him lie to buganda and parade a scripted address to make buganda think everything is okay and in his understanding he knows nothing is okay in his own Kingdom. 9. If the katikilo has all the powers to make the kabaka lie to his subordinates, what makes you think he won't do the same to the bataka. 10. And lastly if he has all those powers what can we do to make his reign of terror end. Thank you.
