Ikr hnmm…in the US too normally we don’t really hear from contestants on American Idol like before. Like how there was Jhud, Lisa (that white lady who won and was into country music), We Ani last season, James, and like a few other people, but def more than Ghana but still small. In Ghana too there’s been few popular people like Erico, Kweku Darlington, like I could barely remember the others . But I think it’s not just a Ghanaian thing, all over the world people who win reality shows don’t just skyrocket into the lime light unless maybe one or two exceptions. Even an American idol star was found singing on the streets of NY for money like after the show. I think those rare cases is when producers actually sign them onto a record label or an artist takes them under their wing cause they liked them, but after the show is done they’re normally on their own like how it was before especially if they didn’t win no matter how good they are 😢
