The Seekers simply didn't succeed without the very special and beautiful vocals of the bands leading lady - her fans played a hand in that ...

"...as well as all the other things..." is her way of saying she needed to find romance in her life. She had been singing about romance and sublime love all her life and a sense of urgency had set in for her to finally find it in her own life experience.

Shame she disappeared for 20 yrs performing with the husband, thank goodness she came back to The Seekers.

She wasn't the big hit as a solo artist but maybe that was down to the material not the voice which is still outstanding! See what you like personally doesn't always sell, he took her the wrong way living his dream through her, and she went along with it because she loved him so, and that's my belief anyway
