As an Iranian, I admire Israeli Nation, who have gone through many hardships in history but they built a modern and sophisticated country. They also believe in freedom of religion because that holey site in Jerusalem is visited by followers of all other religions, which means Israel respects other faiths. Israel is one of the best countries in technology, medical science and agriculture, which not many other countries in the region are like that despite of having plenty of oil, which means high income. Some may envy over Israel and start creating problems with Israel by making up false ideas, which those false ideas later become like an ideology. The USA is unquestionably a good idea with great idealistic aims. Sadly, it has never dealt openly with solving the racism in its basic, cnstitutional DNA. Just to quote an example, England in the 1820s spent annually 25% of it economy on buying slaves in Britain and its colonies back from their owners in order to set them free. In the USA this problem was dealt with by a civil war which cost many lives and much more money and did not solve the problem of racism. Take a look also at the VietNam war and the incredibly useless second American war against Iraq. That second war, conducted for no good reason and certainly not for the nuclear reason sold to the world, cost the USA trillions. As far as I can see, the main reason for the Iraq "adventure" was to ensure that Republican George W. Bush could be a "war president" as he proclaimed and that this would guarantee a second term for him; It was also a Republican semi-criminal president named Nixon who said that he had a "secret" plan for ending tbe VietNam war at the same time as he extended it for years while bombing Cambodia for no good reason. Other countries, such as China, avoided wars and put a greater percentage of their economies into developing industry and infrastructure at home and abroad. With its useless but very wasteful wars, the USA gave communist and fascist countries as well as democracies golden opportunities to improve their economies while the USA, under presidents such as Reagan and Bush, threw trillions at billionaires while needlessly destroying weaker countries. The Hudson Institute is a tool of Republican mistakes and deliberate destruction of unions and the interests of non-billionaires. Shame on this Deep Drive link to the Trumpist and MAGA rightwing of internal domestic American politics. It is the right wing in Israel which is doing damage in similar fashion to what is happening in the USA. Netanyahu's "reform" (attempted damage) of the legal and constitutional system are among the "reforms" which these rightwingers are trying to carry out in both countries - in Hungary and Russia too, of course. Mr. Hessen, I am losing respect for you.
