Actually this is a chance for Kanata to overtake Maezono. NSX as a car is superior to 86 in everything, but Kanata's driving surpassed that of TCS, that means TCS alone won't be able to help Maezono getting out of that situation. It doesn't really make that much difference for Kanata either way, since he has idetic memory.

@@kodokutamashi1569 i personally think even with his Photographic memory he inherited from his Mother his weakness/Flaw Keisuke mentioned to Kenta in S1 is that even with his photographic memory he can’t handle sudden extreme changes in weather Kanata looks absolutely terrified when he sees the super thick Fog. Reminder Ashinoko GT is experiencing a torrential Downpour in sector 3 then it suddenly becomes super thick fog. In the after credits scene.

@SpeedDemonPowerage98 🙄 Looks like you comment was totally off! Today's episode proved that Kanata's weakness was not because of change of weather. Like I told you before, idetic memory negate all disadvantage he has with poor visibility. Kanata's weakness was that has drift was still not on Takumi's level, plus his driving is not as daredevil as people thought. Amd my last prediction will turn true. Kanata is trying to create as much margin as he can from Akaba, because he knows that 86 won't stand a chance on the hill climb. Furthermore that hill climb is the longest out of 2 courses that they had raced and it is before the goal dash too. The moment the rain stopped, 86 was fated to be defeated by Ferrari.
