This issue of giving children access to phones with internet connection is most irresponsible. I am 31 and I am so so very careful of what I watch on the internet. Most times, I stay off social media and intentionally restrict what I see and hear just for my sanity not to talk more of a child

The school is careless. Those kids were damaged long before now but allowing it to happen under their watch shows that they were very careless. They took their time and neither of them was fazed. After she finished cowgirl, she did reverse cowgirl without fear for crying out loud and they were so comfortable like it is normal and no one is coming to catch them in the act, gisting, laughing... No one was even watching the door to alert the others because they knew that no one is coming.

Sex education is important. Period! I recently had a conversation with my 18 year old, the issue was about irregular cycle and she claimed not to have had her period since January and was taken to the hospital where they assumed some hormonal imbalance until the results of the tests carried out gets concluded. My first question was to ask her if she was sexually active and I asked if a pregnancy test was carried out first off. Everybody there chewed me out saying I went overboard and that I did not trust my daughter. Discussions about sex education with our children from a young age is important and we as parents should not see it as embarrassing or shameful or an indication of distrust. Having said that, the parents of this poor girl, in my own opinion may or may have not done their due diligence with regards to sex education. As parents, we can only speak to our children and hope they imbibe the morals we try to impart in them. We cannot possibly be with them 24/7. They may or may have not done their part but it is imperative for the school to accept full responsibility for our wards while in their care. I disagree with Morayo's approach on this issue. The school is 100% culpable. I agree with the lady with the braids hanging down her shoulders and the other lady beside Morayo. There should be some round the clock supervision in place by the school regardless of where ever these children were taken, Dubai or not. How was the school unable to reach the parents for over a month? Was the child not coming to school? Did they not have a residential address? What about email addresses and telephone numbers? Next of kins to contact in case of emergency? There are so many questions that needs to be answered on the school's part. Suspending the girl is not the answer. All the kids involved need therapy. In fact, the whole school needs it. And I agree that efforts should be made to have the video taken down immediately. We do not need that little girl having to go through life with that kind of stigma.

Firstly, watching that video breaks my heart and something from an investigative side needs to be unraveled: 1. The girl child involved was she introduced by an uncle, aunt, nanny, or anybody she would easily trust that could have molested her and caused her to be exposed early to sex. 2. It was recorded, understand that there is a dark industry of child phedephile which is ran by people that mange children made up of teachers, guidance and councellors who could have influenced this children to do the recording for their consumption and circulated for profit. 3. In fact listening to the fact that the school had a teacher who had raped a student previously. The teacher that was caught may not be the only one involved and there maybe a cartel that actually run n enterprise around taking advantage of children, this is where the investigator needs to focus on. There is more than what meets the eye. If you ask the child you may not get an answer, you need an expert to get info from them because these children may have been initiated to a cult like group of secrecy, which been children they have been taken aback and can be deceived.

They are minors!!! If I hired a baby sitter to watch my child and I call from work, I expect that that babysitter has not stepped out of the house and left my child who is a minor for any reason whatsoever. So to answer your question, the adults responsible for these children do not get to go out and leave the children unattended. I went on trips out of state as a child myself and we had chaperones at a ratio of 1 to 6 and we were 15, 16, 17 years old. There was never a time that boys and girls were left to do whatever they wanted. There was always a chaperone breathing down our necks. I’m not absolving the parents here. Something definitely went wrong somewhere that little kids are making pornography. I’m sorry but we do not do enough to protect children in Nigeria. To send children out of the country unsupervised is just beyond what I can comprehend. Even if it happened in a home, the adult responsible for those kids would be in serious legal trouble. A parent who is simply having a bad day will assault a teacher and the teacher will on demand be asked to apologize with his job been threatened. Schools are too careful to correct a student/pupil who are stubborn not to take it and they will have the ba k of their parents who comes on the face of the teachers with threats.

I have read so many positive and negative comments , listen to both sides of the argument from various school of thoughts. Everyone is to be blame for this child's failure. These group of people are responsible. 1. Liberial society 2. Parents 3. Social media. 4.Nigerian celebrities. 5. Peir mates from home and abroad. 6. The institution

Parents should try to make friends with their children. Let your children see you as friends to be able to confide in. If you don't talk to your children as friends, they will go to their peers for advice and encouragement.

The school is covering the fact that they neglected the kids But the point we are failing to understand is if children want to do wrong they are smart not to be caught The reason why the school cover up is because they don’t want their school out The kids if they don’t want to be caught they won’t be caught The kids are very smart Now let’s talk about this system Nigeria have lost everything called moral culture in school and home Because Nigerians travel too much we got over civilized and we think discipline in school now is old school Giving phones is eye opening What are they doing with phones ?

Why didn't the school open up fully to the parent? Why take a minor for pregnancy test more than once without involving parents or guardian? What were the measures put on ground to properly monitor these kids while they were at UAE? That is where I believe the school has a case to answer. As for the parents, hmm, my heart is heavy... all children involved need counseling and help especially the girl. Oh dear Lord, very 😔 sad
@angusubulu17762 жыл бұрын
The truth is that first hand both the parents and school need to accept responsibility but majority of the blame is to the parents of all the children are not properly raised up, again why should those kids have access to phone without parental control, also Nigeria ministry of education need to know the norms and moral upbringing inculcated in our schools most expensive school teachers can’t really caution kids in school I know of a scenario where a teacher was asked to kneel and apologize to a pupil and tomorrow you want the teacher to correct the student. We as parents don’t need to give everything to a kid a let them know why.

There should be a proper planning on how to look at after the children before they leave Nigeria, if they know they don't have enough staff to look after those children they should have cancelled the trip. You can't tell me a parent you give hand your children over to the school and after hearing news like that, is wrong. The school should be held responsible.

Nigeria is beginning to look like the worst place to be a female. Some of the comments on this thread make me uncomfortable. A 10yr old child was drugged and raped and people are victim blaming. My question to the Guardians of outraged morality towards females, please did you expect her to fight off several boys? Let's us even assume it was not but a case of rape why were the parents not told. Also why are the boys not being blamed just the girl.? The comments I have read are disturbing. This is the reason why female rape victims say nothing. I expected unbiased comments from the ladies on the programme.

@@omotolaniogunremi594 Her mother said she was given something to drink and unlike a lot of people I am willing to give the little girl the benefit of believing her until its proven otherwise. When anyone male or female is given a drug or anything that alters their normal state and is made to indulge in sexual relations that is rape. Whether or not he/she has previously had sexual intercourse. If anyone should be disciplined if she is lying it should all of them not just the girl. Slut shaming her while the boys are given an easy pass with the excuse of boys will be boys is what I am against. Simple if she guilty of bad behavior so are the boys they should all be dealt with.

@ Morayo your analysis is not valid. Whoever is the guardian or custodian of a child is responsible for whatever the child does under their care. The school should have made adequate preparation to monitor the children and keep them under their care. Most hotels in Dubai have levels for female only, male only and family only so there is no reason for them to be alone together

Pray this doesn't happen to your child. Total carelessness on the part of the school. Everyone is mad in this country blaming the parents for such ridiculous act that would have been avoided if there was a teacher located to monitor this children. Those children shouldn't stay in the hotel room alone in the first place. I manage a hotel and there are rules when it comes to accommodating children, there must be an adult in their rooms. Are you guys mad?

While parents and the school do their best pls pray pray and pray for your kids. We live in a word were the devil is even more vicious against kids and the home unit I was 10yrs when I first saw a porn. How. My class mate Hassana asked me if I had seen a blue film before, I had know idea films had blue yellow red or whatever colour. I only knew there was coloured or back and white TV. She said other class mates go to watch it at Kemi's house during break. Kemi was an only child of a military officer and a nurse. Both parents are always at work and Kemi is home with the military aid who is a young man They live close to the school. The school was an Army Children's School. So I hadn't seen this thing called blue film and I was curious, so I followed Hassana. When we got there Kemi another girl Mbafe and six boys all ages 9 to 11 from our class were sitting and watching porn - the military aid who is the adult did not seem to bother at all. I was shocked/scared at the adult stuff being aired openly, but my class mates where comfortable watching and this was not internet era. Fortunately about two minutes after we came In NEPA took light, because although I was scared I was also curious to join the rest and watch. I guess that was the Holy Spirit shielding me even then. Please pray for your kids.
