california Chrome was not ready just in himself that young to go up against Shared Belief, now if Shared Belief didn't sadly pass away, it may have had a different result in both their 5 year old years, this year.

Little did we know that we would lose such a champion as Shared Belief 10 months later. Both he and Arrogate were heads above California Chrome in talent and their premature deaths shocked the racing world and left me devastated. RIP to great champions who showed CC who was boss.

Emotional about the two horses passing yet disparaging Chrome is weak. Sure SB and Arrogate beat him but Chrome deserves a lot more than what you're saying. He won the Kentucky Derby.
