I have rewatched all the episodes a few times and if you do, you can see there is real depth and love between Josh and Liza. They have been through more together and Josh has grown more than any other character on the show. He has shown that he loves her, her character and her soul, their relationship is timeless. Like he said "a moment that lasts forever". Charles is a great guy, love the actor but he is just the same old same old. The logical choice. They are better suited as colleagues and friends. But Josh is her soulmate. Time has no hold on them. I cant see that the writers took so much time and spent so much energy on their relationship for it to be just a 'stage' for Liza to have gone through. Their relationship and characters deserve more. The show in the end is about love that has no limits, no discrimination, no age. #teamjosh

I just rewatched the series and I need someone to explain to me why Josh and Liza haven't gotten back together already. At the end of season 3 after she kissed Charles she goes back to Josh to declare her love him. But then that's it. She doesn't try at all after that. And Josh is clearly still in love with Liza pretty much this entire time.

I've said it before; Charles is the type of guy Liza thinks she should be with while on the other hand Josh is the one she's meant to be with. Josh definitely isn't the right choice. Her friends from the suburbs won't take it seriously. You know most of them of are going to talk behind her back with jealousy and uncertainty, but all of that doesn't matter. Yes he isn't the right choice for them but when you really look at Liza about what she needs and wants it becomes clear Josh is the only choice for her.

It's really nice to see all these sweet comments because it's not always like that in real life. I met my fiance of 14 years when i was 30 and he was 19 (about to be 20). I had split from my ex husband 6 weeks prior and met Jo (my fiance) one day at the gym when we were both swimming. Whenever we stopped for a break we were checking each other out and when i got up to go to the steam room, he followed. I hadnt been with another guy in 12 years and was really nervous but the chemistry was off the charts! I was chatting to this woman in the steam room and mentioned i was french, at which point Jo spoke (in french) and said he was french. So we then talked and talked..i told him i had split with my husband recently and that i had a daughter who was 3. I had to get back to work so left my email address with him. I didnt know at this point how old he was - to me he looked like he was 25..just under 6ft, dark hair and eyes and model bone structure. He was hot! After a few telephone calls he did tell me how old he was and i was gutted. I thought we couldn't do anything but i said we could at least be friends because we had so much in common; movies, music and being able to switch languages from moment to moment was a pretty unique experience. But, you cannot fight some urges and pretty soon we were sleeping together. After about a year he met my daughter and then soon after he moved in. We got engaged in Paris and i love him more and more each day. He was so much more mature than my ex (who was 20 years older than him!) and he takes good care of my daughter and I. We have the happiest relationship and rarely argue. But yes sometimes i worry that i should give him a child but having my daughter almost crippled me so its a difficult situation. He says he loves me and that he considers my daughter as his, and that all he wants is to be with me. But i am terrified he will wake up one day and regret it. Anyway, yes there is an age difference but we are more in love than anyone we know. And i feel sooo lucky so if it feels right, go for it. Don't worry what other people may say behind your back because they just don't get it.

Liza and josh were real they both saw each other at their best and worst. That's a real relationship. Charles and liza are built in fantasy, just because they're around the same age doesn't mean they really have seen each other at their most vulnerable states. Love is about forgiveness, taking one as they're in spite of their flaws. I'm not sure Charles can really do that for liza. Look at how much impact she had on josh he remodeled his tattoo shop because liza was his inspiration. A true friend you can't beat that type of chemistry. Even now with all their up and downs she is still there for him and he is for her especially for her daughter.

I love the fact that with the age different between a women and man, you’re still able to find your soul mate. It should be possible just in one movie or series that an older women is able to find her true love in someone younger than her and end up being together at the end. It's not the Liza character that is keeping them apart. We live is a world where a 40 year old man can find a real connection and love with a 26 year old woman but we are conditioned to believe it isn't possible vice versa. So they are making this conflict-y when it really shouldn't be. As you can see the only real problems they have had since she told him the truth (and by the way the fact that she told him proves they have a more mature relationship) are issues that society focused on conventional burdens them with.

I just felt really heartbroken when she cheated on Josh and that's always been the case with her. She is attracted towards Charles for a long time and she shouldn't have kept Josh in the dark. That's the only reason why i felt she doesn't deserve Josh and no other reason. I know she is a good soul. The only problem with their relation is the biology coz Josh wants a family and Liza being 40+ has less chances to have a baby but come on we have science...🤷 But i feel she never truly loved him as much as she loved Charles.

We gotta remember that Liza never chose Charles over Josh. She wanted Josh back after the "incident" and he rejected her. Only then Liza moved on to Charles. Now Josh realized he wants Liza no matter what and she is confused as well. I feel like it will only take a little bit more time until they realise they belong to each other.
