I hate when someone says they treat each season finale as a series finale, It's not true. They ended season 1 with Root taking Harold hostage. They ended season 2 with The Machine talking to Root. They ended season 3 with the team on the run from Samaritan. They ended season 4 with John, Harold, and Root fighting the Samaritan operatives with The Machine in Harold's hands. Same goes for SHIELD. The writers say they treat every finale as a series finale, but none of the finales felt like a conclusion.

The thing about Netflix is that it operates in several countries so that (depending on licensing for that country) they can reach people that wouldn't have had access to the show without Netflix...
