Burnham literally begins her emotional journey in the exact same place as her brother Spock. A child of earth and a child of Vulcan. Raised to suppress her emotional side in favor of Logic. Couldn’t agree more. I have loved all the captains but Michael Burnham comes out on top for me. Maybe it’s because we get to see her evolution more so than every other captain, or we learn more about her upbringing and history (and family) or perhaps it’s the ever charming, talented Sonequa Martin-Green. I'm gonna miss the show. I love Soniqua's character. Burnam could of been as beloved as Picard or Janeway. We just wanted normal Star Trek. However, we've learned a lot about classic Trek species like the Klingons, Vulcans, and Orions. As well as been introduced to new species like the Kelpians. I still think Burnam got the short end of the galactic stick. 😔

@LeneauCrawford it's 5 movies broken up for episode sake. Spor drive existed before the Original Series yet no technology even remotely close to it existed at the time. Don't give me secret project crap. It was lazy. One convience after another. Ive watched every season just because I'm a Star Trek fan and this is terrible. Lower Decks puts more effort in their story. How many McGuffins you need in a story? Lets just single out the last season. If the Federation finds out there is Universe ending technology and the SAFEST, EASIEST, BEST way to keep it out of the hands of EVIL wouldn't you just DESTORY the clues before others got to them? They had a 6 hour head start, only needed to push the capsule into a blackhole and all is saved. Instead they play around and let the Breen take it. They created a story that relies on the characters doing the DUMB thing. Glad you're a writer who doesn't know how to use punctuation.

@@Anonymous_Alien11 i had to watch it to form my opinion , besides ST is futuristic by design , but the obese bridge crew are a joke, and half the staff are gay lesbians or some unspecified something. Most of them are wimps who cry all the time, and the audience is supposed to believe that this is a tough, battle-hardened, competent team of space explorers. Justice does not exist in STD, all choices are guided by feelings, someone almost causes the destruction of the galaxy but it doesn't matter because that's how he felt, so it's ok. A captain who puts the lives of her crew on the line time and time again and lets everyone die because she is too weak to make a difficult decision is the norm and that's also ok because she is in love and feelings are more important than logic, and yet she is the greatest captain the Federation has ever seen. This series doesn't hold together and was created only for today's insecure idiots, for whom simple things like being a boy or a girl are insurmountable problems. Promoting this idiotic ideology in cinemas and television will only deepen this phenomenon and weaken every society. Star Trek Discovery is the biggest failure in Starfleet history.

I LOVE this Captain. She has really evolved from her Vulcan upbringing which really dominated her personality at the start of her journey to really coming into her own. And just like the other captains, Burnham's personality especially her critical thinking skills and empathy has grown to larger than life.
