That five-note theme stood the test of time for 20 years with only a few remixes of it over the years. Still sounds modern. Composed by Barton and Hayden Strom.

Interestingly when Sunday was launched they were trying to make current affairs more innovative rather than the standard 60 Minutes format hence the edge dnb type music (which I personally really like, just like the orange trance inspired One News theme in the early 2000s). They didnt really succeed, and instead Sunday morphed back to the standard hour long format of 2 or 3 stories.
