As always, Ms Horne is magical. She was equally so when I had the great pleasure of hearing her from a good seat at Chicago's Blackstone Theater around 1990. Sadly, video producers at CBS refused to give her a mic, so the sound mixer, working his hands tied behind is back, fails to balance her vocal with the band at times. Kudos to him for doing as well as he did!

"In Veradero", wow. Did the band ever play that past the Innovations period? Other than this of course.

Are any more episodes of this short-lived series available anywhere? Especially interested in the one that aired on July 19, 1955.

This is all I know of. As I find more episodes, I add them here. www.allthingskenton.com/table_of_contents/adventures/music-55/

None of these musicians look like members of the Stan Kenton orchestra.

They weren't, though some were alumni. It was a New York band. Johnny Richards rehearsed it, Bart Varsalona contracted it, and Kenton would fly in for the show every Tuesday from wherever his band was playing. You can read more about it here: allthingskenton.com/table_of_contents/adventures/music-55/

You're wrong the show features Sal Salvador the long time Kenton's guitarist.

The sole musician of the Kenton band of the 50' is the guitarist Sal Salvador.
