@@ale-fj2mw the symbol in the middle means "add that many digits". 1. 5 symbol 2 = 11, because you add 2 digits to 5 so 5 + 6 = 11 2. 2 symbol 4 = 14, because you add 4 digits to 2 so 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 14 3. 3 symbol 2 = 7, because you add 2 digits to 3 so 3 + 4 = 7 4. 4 symbol 5 = 30, because you add 5 digits to 4 so 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 30 5. 8 symbol 4 = 38, because you add 4 digits to 8 so 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 = 38

Quick translation from a student majoring Korean at uni : well in a nutshell they couldn’t solve those equations and then Henry came and they asked him if he could solve them and he said this is very easy and he was surprised that they didn’t know how to do them so he asked them if they really didnt know how to solve them so they were all shook lol when he said it was easy and he did all of them correctly and at the end he wanted to teach them how to solve the equations but he changed his mind

I have another solution. 5*2=10 2*4=8 3*2=6 4*5=20 To make this product of both number same as the answer given in the question's equation, an number need to be added in it So, (The product plus a number) 10+1=11 8+6=14 6+1=7 20+10=30 For this there is a number pole, Now, Let see the second number in the question equation I will list it out. 2=+1 3=+1+2 4=+1+2+3 5=+1+2+3+4 So for the question We need to do 8*4=32 Then we look at the second number is 4 so 32+1+2+3=38

I only knew because I saw that there was a pattern (read parallel 2,4,2,5,4) and if 2x4=8 then you would add 6 to make it 14. So then on the next equation with the 4, (8x4=?) then you would just add on 6. So 8x4=32+6

늦었지만 저거 식이 a※b 같은 식으로 되어있잖아요? 두 번째 문제를 예로 들면 a=2고 ※4 이렇게 되어있는데, a부터 a+(a+1)+(a+2)+(a+3) 이런 식으로 즉2+(2+1)+(2+2)+(2+3) 이렇게 해서 2+3+4+5 =14, 이렇게 푸는 것 같아요! (b의 수만큼 a를 더하는데 두 번째부터는 +1씩 해 주는 거예요!) 제가 설명을 잘 못 해요 ㅜㅜ 그러면 마지막 문제는 8+(8+1)+(8+2)+(8+3)= 8+9+10+11 이렇게 되어 답은 38이 되겠죠? 다른 방법은 2=1, 3=1+2, 4=1+2+3, 5=1+2+3+4 이런 식으로 해서 (8)4를 먼저 하고 (1+2+3)을 더해 답을 구하는 방식도 있더라고요! 그래서 결론만 말하자면, 마지막 문제의 답은 38입니당😆
