Having a cold can feel just as bad as the flu or Covid. I’ve had two bad colds recently, and the body aches were so bad, I almost had to go to the emergency room. You’re all congested and all you want to do is sleep. I can’t even imagine the energy it took for her to do this. Just because people do it, does not mean everyone handles being sick equally. People are tied to constraints and they don’t want to let down their fans. I know it meant the world to her that audience and backup singers rooted her on. I love her! She lit up with all that support. ❤️

I had to start singing and helping as well. It’s so beautiful that I felt compelled to help this sweet woman. She’s such a sweet lady and I love her and I’ve always loved her and we definitely appreciate her. She did a great job. We understood and we no you can’t be perfect pitch because your voice is not always perfect pitch just naturally so girl we got you I wanna cry because those people are human that helped and the Leona felt it

True, Pre-Recorded tracks are part of the whole show since there is a flow and timeframe for the show. You’ll just ruin the show by not being able to “put on a show”. A singer’s voice is very vulnerable and precious and a cold or bad day might just suddenly come. All in all, Leona did great handling it tho!

It’s funny she sung higher love at the end cuz i was LITERALLY goin to bring up the concert Whitney did a full show with a cold. And it was raw and she pressed on thru every song. Some notes she was able to hit others she had to find a way to evade certain notes. But the fact she still got up there and delivered for her fans was amazing. And performed higher love at the end. But Leona Lewis this was truly touchin.. And this was even more touchin havin a beautiful audience to carry the song for her. I loved she continued to do the show (even tho i hope she rest and heals) and gave the ppl what she could do. But singing with a cold IS NOT EASY and it. Takes a lot to sing around certain notes that needs more air when u have a cold

I saw her VIP in Liverpool front row and cos of there being only two small speakers centre stage, you couldn’t here her vocals properly like this show. I couldn’t hear her high notes or anything. A very drunk pregnant woman with ten kids got a photo with her and I didn’t (front row VIP), I’d love to reach out to her and somehow get a pic- I cried when she came onto stage 🥲

I would say for those accusing Leona here of miming that, if you take into account she was struggling - it would be entirely logical that though she was singing live she would not have been able to put anywhere near her full effort into it even with still, trying to and why she understandably got upset. At end of the day if people who were there are saying she was singing live then l think they have more up close and insider information compared to someone on her just passing judgement who was not.

People don’t understand how fragile and sensitive the human singing voice is. Both Physical ailments and mental conditions can affect it. Remember to record a song you can take as many take as necessary to perfect the record. When you sing live, you only have one chance. You can’t give the same output every time especially when it’s a vocally challenging song. And even if you can hit the notes. Singing high notes too often and too many performances in a row will damage your voice. Over touring destroyed Mariah and Whitney’s voice in the 90s. The public should be open to pre-recorded material. Singers are not machines.
