Hello friend, can you tell me what is the difference between the Inspire 1 v2 and the Inspire 1 Pro apart from the X5 camera? Are they the same aircraft? because inside both models are marked as T601, they also use the same motors. Is there any other difference between both models really? Thank you

Does the inspire 1 Pro X5 camera come with a lens? On the DJI website it shows you get the camera itself but doesn't say if it already comes with a lens, please reply.

+Simon Gentry The standard Inspire 1, as well as the Pro, have always supported the use of two controllers; one dedicated pilot (PIC), and the other camera controller. No, we have not made any training videos on dual operator modes. As of right now, there are only 3 compatible lenses for the X5 and X5R.

well that's really cool! i didn't know - and i've watched a ton of KZbin and Vimeo looking for as much information before purchase. i just watched a UK pilot showing how using the same iPad and using the touch screen the camera can be controlled by a 2nd person without the "need" for a 2nd controller... last resort i'd say! i just got mine so i have a ton to pickup, hoping to get the remote focus pull at some point.

Hi James. Thank you for this VERY informative video. I am weighing up the Inspire 1 Pro X5 for asset inspection. Specifically powerpoles. Very close range (3-5m hover beside and over the structure) to reveal rust on bolts etc. There doesn't seem to be any footage available where someone has applied the XR for super-close range applications. What are your thoughts? Should the native lens be able to provide this level of detail, or would a telephoto lens be a good choice? Any thoughts/ feedback you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for this indepth, practical video! Peter

+Peter O'Regan The X5, as you know, offers flexibility on lenses. Unfortunately you can't use a telephoto lens, but rather a prime lens (fixed focal length). Olympus has a popular Micro 4/3rds lens that's a 45mm focal length. I wouldn't recommend using a focal length and larger. This will help get a closer shot.

+Miguel De Felice DJI does not offer a system with a zoom feature. A way around that is shooting in 4K resolution. This gives you 4X's the canvas as Full HD 1080. After recording, take your video into an editing tool, and from there you are able to crop in up to 4X's, making it appear closer/zoomed, and still end up with a pretty decent picture.

There's some pretty bad judder (sticky movement) in the video examples. Look at the bottom of the screen while viewing to see what I'm talking about. I get this too, with the x3, and am having a hard time getting rid of it. I know it has to do with the relationship between frame rate and shutter speed. Any ideas? Advice?

+Patrick Taylor we were looking at the very start of the sample footage, our apologies. We realized what you meant by "flying low" point of the sample footage. We don't recall the settings of the cam at the time this was shot, but looking at it, yes. That is the result of a too high of shutter speed. I believe it was shot at 30fps, so proper shutter should have been around 1/60.

I had a problem with my x3 camera, it was not panning so I changed it thinking it was the camera. Got the x5, update all the firmware and the camera still not panning, it only tilting. Can someone PLEASE help me.

You are correct, it's not the camera. There are three ways to pan the camera: 1) yawing the entire heli itself 2) touch and hold your finger on your smart device screen, and drag your finger around. It will duplicate what your fingers do. and 3) customize your C1 and C2 buttons so that one of them is set to "tilt/yaw". When you've done this, let's say on C1, then when you press C1 it toggles the gimbal wheel on the top left of the controller between the default tilt control and yaw. As a recommendation, if you choose to use this feature, I recommend setting C2 to "reset yaw". That way when you pan your camera and it's now off-center you can reset it back to center with the touch a button C2. Thanks for watching, and subscribing!

+TV Specialists, Inc yes i would imagine it would but for one person operation...do you think the x3 is usable to follow any autofocusing at all on its own? would you more need to manually just set the AF for a certain distance and just use it that way? I'm getting the small OSMO but have interest in at least the X3 to put on the OSMO gimbal as well for better performance in lower light. IQ looks really nice with the X3 & X5. i have a Ronin with a wide assortment of cameras but some times would like to be more light weight and less cumbersome. i like this DJI innovation with these camera choices.

Actually no. You can touch the display with for finger, hold it for a second until a blue circle appears, and now you can drag your finger around to control the camera. The further you move you finger away from the blue circle, the fast the camera moves in that direction. The other way is to program either of your C1 or C2 buttons to cycle the gimbal wheel between tilt or yaw of the camera. Program one of those buttons, press it, and now the gimbal wheel won't tilt the camera, but will yaw it instead. When we do that, we will typically program the other C button to "yaw reset." That way, after we've yawed the camera in one direction, press that C button and it will recenter the camera, now press the other C button to return the gimbal wheel back to normal tilt control. Yes, we have noticed there is a very slight stutter in the sample footage. We apologize for the rendering error. We have this footage looping in our showroom and do not experience the same stutter here; it of course, though, was re-rendered.

TV Specialists, Inc that's awesome! Thanks for the reply. I'm getting the Inspire Pro soon and eventually after that I want to get the Osmo. When it comes to the Multi-Rotor scene, DJI is THE BEST!! Hands down! There going to have there haters, but the reality is that there way ahead in the game of Multi-Rotor, and nobody is touching them. There the ones that really started it.... With the Phantom. Yes , some people might of had fly always, but I bet some of them were pilot errors! On top of that, No electronics are perfect and they can get better! I would take any DJI product any day, Because every other company, to me, are just followers! Hands down, the best in my opinion.
