Sibu is an inland town in the central region of Sarawak. It is the capital of Sibu District in the Sibu Division. The town is located on the island of Borneo and covers an area 129.5 km2. Sibu is also the Rejang Basin’s main port and commercial centre, and the gateway to Central Sarawak. It is a flourishing modern town with a dynamic core and a lively, busy waterfront situated along the Rejang and Igan rivers, about 130 km from the South China Sea.

We where here two years ago , we caught a boat from kuching and spent four nights here . A wonderful educational trip. Loved it, a very educational video .

Sibu is huge. Their downtown much better than kch and miri.more lively and vibrant.

@@zeddomnswa8343 in sarawak we call it "pasar".. or to be exact the city centre area. Sibu "downtown" more happening compare to miri and kch coz kch and miri have lot of scattered commercial area.
