Not only is TVXQ an SM group, so amazing vocals are a given, but they were originally supposed to be an acapella group, so they are known for having superior harmonies and vocals. (In the early days, when they were a 5-member group, they actually had a lot of acapella performances that really showed off their vocal abilities.) Also, any of those songs that were released before 2010 were originally with all 5 members, so, for example, just wait until you see and hear "Purple Line" and "Love In The Ice" sang live with all 5 members in the song. :D Yes, 20&2 is named like that because it's their 20th anniversary and they're still 2 members strong after all this time. Although their debut song "Hug" was released at the beginning of 2004, they officially debuted the day after Christmas in 2003, so they just celebrated their 20th anniversary. They're "Rising Gods of the East" for a reason. Even after 20 years they are still continuing to break new ground and demonstrate why they are the leaders in the industry. If you haven't yet, check out their 2023 MAMA performance where they showcased "Down" even before the MV was released. They also had an epic collaboration stage with SM's newest boy group RIIZE, where they performed TVXQ's iconic song "Rising Sun." "Rising Sun" is a classic and a lot of artist and groups have covered the song over the years. Plus, it's used in a lot of things, so you'll probably start to notice it being used in things you watch. And it's one of those songs that defines who TVXQ are so, when you talk about them or they perform anywhere they usually play this song. "Rising Sun" came out in 2005 about a month before Super Junior debuted with their song "Twins (Knock Out)", the hard rock, grunge vibe was just the style of music that SM and the Kpop industry was playing around with back then. The whole song, MV and style was very on trend. Therefore, it has a sound and feel to it like a lot of songs that were released around this time. "Chance of Love" in 2018 is a big deal because it was their first comeback after being discharged from the military, so the Kpop industry was ready and waiting for them to release a new album. If you want to hear the full song of any of these songs all you have to do is look them up, they've been holding concerts for almost 20 years, so they have sang all these songs live multiple times. Just wait until you see the choreography for these songs, they can do all this while dancing and singing live.

Just wow! Absolute vocal gods (and Uknow is considered one of the best dancers in k-pop. As others have commented, you need to look at their solos. Max - Chocolate, Devil, Fever and Maniac. Uknow- Thank you, Reality Show and Drop. You would not be disappointed!! BTW - sorry only just found your reaction, so a little late to respond.

tvxq debuted 26th of december, 2003 (my 5th birthday!!!) at a boa/britney spears concert!! they originally had 5 members, but in 2009, 3 members left. tvxq then went on a 2 year hiatus and came back as 2 in 2011 with keep your heard down. all of the songs they performed in this video that were released before 2009 were originally with 5 members and now yunho and changmin have absorbed their lines, which (as a fan) is really exciting and impressive because back when they were 5 members, yunho (in the black jacket) was always considered one of if not the weakest member vocally (personally i disagree but thats neither here nor there) and now he is taking on lines that originally belonged to former members who were often considered the best vocalists of the group (fans could ever agree who was The Best), such as in love in the ice or mirotic. i would really love to see you both react to their tri-angle music video, admittedly partially because you said something about that album probably being slower/quieter, but also because it's one of my personal favourite pre-split songs. it's really fun. i have been a tvxq fan since 2016 (during their military hiatus) and they're easily my favourite kpop group of all time. being able to spend my birthday with them (through livestreams etc) almost every year since then has always felt so special. i was so excited when their killing voice episode came out because i think they are such talented vocalists, so i really appreciate seeing people like you guys reacting to them and recognizing how talented they are. thank you for this video!!

if you like rising sun! listen to the XV tour (japan) live version! there's some metal instrumentals. they always perform in japan with a live band. same with keep your head down! they also have other songs with metal parts or large influences. they have done every genre you can probably think of like another song not here, called Getaway! That's a metal/rock one too

They debuted 2003, even more popular in Japan as Tohoshinki. Changmin wrote lyrics to Promise, he has written lyrics to several of their songs.

The song Hi Ya Ya sounds like a cross between their song, Balloons and HOT song, Candy, which I used to listen to when I needed a simple happy pick me up song 🤗 Also sounds like in sum parts BoA song Milkyway, TVXQ feat SuJu Show me ur love, and lastly Kiss, Because I'm a Girl, all mashed together lol.
