I am a Maori and obviously of the indigenous peoples of Aotearoa ( New Zealand ) I believe that we here are no better or worse than any other people or countries the world over but our food quality is awesome because our country is blessed with good quality soil and ample rain fall for vegetation growth and production of healthy animals for meat, fruit and vegetables . We don't get robbed at the doctor's office and hospitals ( Hospital health care is free here ) We don't have schools threatened by shootings or crazies with guns going to schools to hurt innocent kids . We treasure free national parks , beaches and open public freedom camping spots, our country is reasonably clean and tidy in the towns and cities ( compared to Asian cities and Indian ,South African,American cities and rural towns and areas ) We pay a lot more for food here because of its quality and freight costs but when you are from here you know no different so have nothing to compare it too . Our crime rate is high relative to our population and we have many violent ( lost soul troubled individuals ) gangs who are mainly testosterone filled young idiots still finding their way in life and a bit lost , mostly Maori and divorced from our culture and language hence the insecurities and needing too belong in amongst like minded individuals. Our weather is good but can become cold and very hot at times and our best seasons are spring and summer ... we love fishing , hunting and diving here and I personally do all 3 😊 We eat what we catch , pick , fish for and dive for ( sea urchins , crayfish , paua , crabs , mussels , eels , watercress , puha , mutton birds ) the list goes on and on , our home is abundant compared to so many other countries around the world and we know and love this fact . AOTEAROA IS WITHOUT EQUAL , THE LORD HAS BLESSED OUR COUNTRY 😊

What I miss most about NZ is a good view. I mean here in Australia there is none and I’m not exaggerating. I live on a river peninsula, it’s nice. And here in Western Australia some awesome sunsets. I'm NZ born and raised. Like most people, took the situation I grew up in for granted. It wasn't until I went to North Victoria, Mildura to do Ag work, when I was walking on a long desert highway, with literally zero mountains around me for 360 degrees, did I realise that there's no land marks on the horizon. I found it really disconcerting. Made me see how people can get lost in the desert and walk around in circles without a land mark. Its funny the things you miss.

@@d.a2500 but actually it is. It is way cheaper in australia than NZ. Australians are complaining about housing prices and food etc etc but in NZ its triple or even fourfold that of Australia. Milk and bread in NZ is twice the amount of Australia. Housing is also triple the price...unleaded petrol in Aus averages $1.50-$1.89 when in NZ its $2.98....i can go on... only thing expensive here in Australia is schooling, medication and hospital fees and a few other things but im mainly speaking basic and necessities and health plus you get paid a lot more in Australia for the lowest jobs.

@@nameless1873 Horses for courses, we don't pay state and federal tax. Our Rates are lower. Yes we pay more for petrol, but it has to travel further to get here, and we don't have the storage capability or population size to bulk buy to get cheaper rates. The problem is that Australia and New Zealand compete in the same markets for similar products. We should entertain an economic union, and stop fighting each other in the marketplace but have a united front.

I was pulled over outside a busy shopping mall. Reg and WoF way out of date. The policeman was very nice. Asked if there was something wrong with the car I couldn't afford to fix. I said No, I had just moved to Christchurch from a small rural town and where I'd moved from there weren't any police so you get a bit slack on warrents. I just wanted him to give me the ticket as there were a lot of people watching. He asked me for my driver's license- I didn't have it on me. He ran my name, so he would have seen I should have been wearing glasses. He said I'm sorry but I have to give you a ticket, however I'll overlook the glasses and not having your license, you can't register without a WoF so I'll issue a fine for the WoF, and and infringement for the rego. You have 14 days to get a WoF and rego. I had to pay the fine for the WoF but the fine for the rego was waived. When I took the receipt to the police station to get signed off the desk officer said you should've been given an infringement for both, but then he noticed the WoF was over a year out of date, so I got the fatherly look and a reminder to keep the vehicle up to date😂

Our health care system in New Zealand is not perfect but at least we will never be bankrupted if we get sick or have an accident. The differences between New Zealand and America is, in America everything is for profit, your healthcare system, your justice system, your education system. I have always struggled to understand why Americans do not demand to get the public services your taxes are suppose to be paying for.

Stan walker has a new song drop in English that he originally released in Te Reo for Māori language month. And true to form since getting away from Sony and becoming independent, he takes us on his journey of self discovery, especially after losing his dad. His lovely wife is in it and it’s coming from his whole heart n soul his voice on point and the music is such a throw back to a Motown vibe. I adore Stan for being his true self and following his passion no matter where it takes him to shine through. Gospel, reggae, RnB, Māori or English the music is always from the spirit and always just hits different to me. He’s always meaningful and is using his gift the way god intended. It’s called back to the river. Would love ur reaction to see how it hits with u. Missing seeing u round lately, hope all is well and u r living ur best life and truth.🙏🏾🫶🏽✞❤︎🎶💜

Watched this woman's channel but obviously missed when she went back to the States?? My god come back You know this is the country to live in From what I see from what I watch Big Pharma rules in the US.. I cannot believe your children had to have something injected into them before going to dam school The States is all about money.. you know that's not what life is all about Yes you need it to live however LIVE is the key word here Glad you made it to Aotearoa Twano You don't get paranoid here with tinted windows because of the gun laws Not saying the Big gangs aren't using them.. mostly against each other tho!! You came at the wrong time of year.. 😂.. heck from Texas to a winter in Aotearoa smh Hope you felt the luv from the peoples.. that's all I need to know Aroha nui ❤️

And coffee. Coffee is rancid everywhere else. Even instant coffee here is better than most Barista made liquid shit in the US. Helps alot that NZ invented instant coffee. And trust me, Americans always turn their nose up when you mention instant coffee - but they don't know cos they don't have any taste buds for anything other than sugar and oil. If they did, they'd know their vegetables US wide has this rancid metallic, chemical aftertaste. Meat is dry and tasteless. So when you see their TV cooks loading meat up with all these herbs and spices, that's why. But it's because they don't know anything other than the crap they produce.
