I am a Maori and obviously of the indigenous peoples of Aotearoa ( New Zealand ) I believe that we here are no better or worse than any other people or countries the world over but our food quality is awesome because our country is blessed with good quality soil and ample rain fall for vegetation growth and production of healthy animals for meat, fruit and vegetables . We don't get robbed at the doctor's office and hospitals ( Hospital health care is free here ) We don't have schools threatened by shootings or crazies with guns going to schools to hurt innocent kids . We treasure free national parks , beaches and open public freedom camping spots, our country is reasonably clean and tidy in the towns and cities ( compared to Asian cities and Indian ,South African,American cities and rural towns and areas ) We pay a lot more for food here because of its quality and freight costs but when you are from here you know no different so have nothing to compare it too . Our crime rate is high relative to our population and we have many violent ( lost soul troubled individuals ) gangs who are mainly testosterone filled young idiots still finding their way in life and a bit lost , mostly Maori and divorced from our culture and language hence the insecurities and needing too belong in amongst like minded individuals. Our weather is good but can become cold and very hot at times and our best seasons are spring and summer ... we love fishing , hunting and diving here and I personally do all 3 😊 We eat what we catch , pick , fish for and dive for ( sea urchins , crayfish , paua , crabs , mussels , eels , watercress , puha , mutton birds ) the list goes on and on , our home is abundant compared to so many other countries around the world and we know and love this fact . AOTEAROA IS WITHOUT EQUAL , THE LORD HAS BLESSED OUR COUNTRY 😊

I'm NZ born and raised. Like most people, took the situation I grew up in for granted. It wasn't until I went to North Victoria, Mildura to do Ag work, when I was walking on a long desert highway, with literally zero mountains around me for 360 degrees, did I realise that there's no land marks on the horizon. I found it really disconcerting. Made me see how people can get lost in the desert and walk around in circles without a land mark. Its funny the things you miss.

@@nameless1873 Horses for courses, we don't pay state and federal tax. Our Rates are lower. Yes we pay more for petrol, but it has to travel further to get here, and we don't have the storage capability or population size to bulk buy to get cheaper rates. I was pulled over outside a busy shopping mall. Reg and WoF way out of date. The policeman was very nice. Asked if there was something wrong with the car I couldn't afford to fix. I said No, I had just moved to Christchurch from a small rural town and where I'd moved from there weren't any police so you get a bit slack on warrents. I just wanted him to give me the ticket as there were a lot of people watching. He asked me for my driver's license- I didn't have it on me. He ran my name, so he would have seen I should have been wearing glasses. He said I'm sorry but I have to give you a ticket, however I'll overlook the glasses and not having your license, you can't register without a WoF so I'll issue a fine for the WoF, and and infringement for the rego. You have 14 days to get a WoF and rego. I had to pay the fine for the WoF but the fine for the rego was waived. When I took the receipt to the police station to get signed off the desk officer said you should've been given an infringement for both, but then he noticed the WoF was over a year out of date, so I got the fatherly look and a reminder to keep the vehicle up to date😂
