There's a reason that this piece has been a holiday favorite for decades: It's a simply brilliant piece of music. I've never heard a bad arrangement of it, even if few performances can boast the level of talent seen here.

"Twas The Night Before Christmas...." was the very first piece I played as a trumpet player when I was in 4th grade at our grade school's Christmas program. MoTab and Nathan Gunn in this new arrangement by Ryan Murphy of this classic Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians song is incredible! And yes, 40+ years later I still play the trumpet and love to share my love of music with my incredible ward family.

The main thing I remember about this version of the song is the intro that’s the main thing I will always remember. I remember listening to it when I was in elementary school they would perform this version of the song but I think they did it in a different way.

So lovely! The very best part of the Mormon Church is, and has always been, its Choir! The soloist is perfect with an easy, natural and BEAUTIFUL voice! The best I have ever heard!

I don't think I've heard this sung by a choir since Acapella Choir in High School. It has always been one of my favorites.

Conspicuously omitted was the verse "THE STUMP OF A PIPE HE HELD TIGHT IN HIS TEETH, AND THE SMOKE WENT AROUND AND AROUND AND AROUND HIS HEAD LIKE A WREATH." For those of you who didn't catch it, that there is just a little bit of artistic license mixed with doctrine from the Word of Wisdom. WE WILL HAVE NO TOBACCO IN THE CONFERENCE CENTER! (-:
