Too bad TWC Spectrum has dropped the whole house DVR under Charter. Charter/TWC has decided to take a ride in the wayback machine, and return us to the times of 2-tuner DVR's, where every TV must have it's own DVR.

Spectrum vs TWC Cable boxes. Spectrum seems to operate much quicker. Is the HD programming at a higher quality? (if they are, would I be able to tell?)

You can't turn HD into 4K.

why does time warner say that all channels are in HD? Did you reset the box? Did you call them and ask?

+Adam Montoya Yeah I spoke to them, they're know for that (only 2 HD premiums per network). Doesn't look like they have any plans of adding the other networks from what they said. No need to reset the box its on all boxes and verified from friends and others in the area.

Can you pause playback and advance forward frame by frame? If so, then does it hide you info bar on the bottom while you are doing it?

do the remote dvr boxes for like whole home dvr use the same menu as the main dvr box

Yes but with the remote boxes they view recordings off the main box and CANNOT pause live tv, rewind, or schedule recordings.

i have a whole house DVR n I can't seem to watch any of the recorded programs that I have on the primary box (DVR). on the other box. how do I set that up?

all of the boxes must be on the same splitter the whole house dvr is on (only a time warner tech would know how to setup). All of the boxes will have a whole house logo on the LCD display. With that logo on all of the boxes, the whole house should work. The whole house dvr logo looks like a house with a circle going around the home. Plus you have to make sure the account has whole house dvr. if not then call the company. Also get a tech out there and see if the system is setup correctly.

Can you playback, record, pause, rewind and fast forward from other boxes connected to enhanced dvr box (I currently have 4 TV's )

+John Hyland funny...I had installer put yesterday and he said no..said have to set record on main TV and that satellite boxes will only playback..not pause..rewind..record..etc. Time Warner customer service confirmed when I cancelled due to the very limited capabilities of the satellite boxes... I'm baffled

+Joe Gray That is true actually, From what I was told they can do everything except set to record. I don't know if that includes pausing or not. I have 2 enhanced DVR's and one regular one. They're whole home options sounded like garbage.

I don't think I like this new cable box and I really really need help they gave me this new remote with no book in my other cable box I was able to hit guide for example and see everything that Hallmark movies and Mysteries had to offer days out and different times on this one I can't see anything and I'm not able to record anything because I can't see it it's only showing me what's playing each hour and I have to scroll through every hour is there a shortcut for me to for example get home mark movie and Mysteries and see everything is going to be playing so that I can record it in advance

the reason I'm dropping direct tv is they have no internet service and they won't tell me upload or download speeds till after i order internet package they advertise 1.5 mbps which is really really slow with ATT as a third party
