I got hooked on painkillers after a back injury at 33 and by the time I was 35 I was strung out and willing to do any drug. By 36 I became an alcoholic as well. I went almost 13 years fighting a near impossible fight and finally won. Been clean for 6 years.

@@xaviontimberlake9122 if you have to take them please make sure you take them responsibly (as directed, unless your dose is too high. Hard to know how long you've taken them & what u started at). Don't take them to get high, just to lower the pain to a bearable level. The objective isn't to be pain free, just where you can function without excruciating pain. You always have to be honest with yourself & if you can't trust yourself ask someone close to help hold you responsible. I need daily pain relief due to debilitating conditions, most degenerative & addiction runs in my family on both sides &strong, so I understand. Wishing you the best 🤗 Just know it IS doable if necessary. Rx meds are technically what could help end the illicit drug epidemic. Safe supply is extremely important or we will never win, imo. You can say that you do it to remind yourself but as an addict I think that voice could easily become too overpowering to ignore. Outside that environment, the voice comes up but you’re in no position to succumb to it, but on the streets it’d be hard as fuck

Drugs have changed so much in the past 10 years I'm glad I got out of my addiction more than 8 - 10 years ago and I don't want good job or praise it's my fault I needed to do better and I did, I hope everyone addicted can get better shit is hard and it's harder on your family more than anything it changes you into a person you never thought you could be but you pay for it the rest of your life no matter weather your clean for 10 years that thought still floats in your head, self doubt, and looking over your shoulder never ends. Especially if you got kids man you got to do better for them they didn't ask for any of the bs you put them through, you don't get those years back

Another great video Drew🤘🏻 I was never a drug addict but I did have an alcohol problem. I became depressed and tried to Epstein myself and ended up a C5/C6 spinal cord injury patient. This was 6 1/2 years ago and even though I’m a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, I’m extremely happy with my sober lifestyle (except herb) stay safe everyone ♿️💪🏻

I was dating a raggedy girl that messed with percs 2 years ago. I tried it twice out of my own will just to see how it was and it’s not worth it. Lost a good job for her. I had a quick realization that chasing girls in general isn’t always the move when you’re struggling. Everything happens for a reason. I haven’t heard of her since and I pray the best she’s doing fine. Last I heard she moved to San Diego early 2021 love you Stephanie.

I agree. Anybody I know who has ever got "sober" but tried staying in the streets and hanging with their drug buddies has wound up relapsing. I tried it multiple times as well and it never ended well. When I finally stayed off drugs was when I cut ties with anyone who was using. It's just too much of a temptation sticking around that lifestyle when you are fighting to stay away from that stuff.
