It has to be really bad! I’ve been on methadone for about 17 years now. I’ve tried to get off numerous times but the withdrawal is so damn bad and last so long. I’m trying to figure out how to do it as painlessly as possible cause I’m ready to get off. I’ve tried to quit after going to 5mg a day and it felt as bad as when I tried to stop from 100mg a day. And I was at 5mg a day for 6 months before I stopped. These synthetic opioids are on a whole other level.

Just get past those first 3 days and I promise it gets easier. You take it day by day, you hear me?! Day by day. Don’t think of it as stoppping forever. Think about it as just staying clean day by day. Remember once you get past those 3 days, it’ll get better. I wouldn’t recommend going cold turkey since it’s opiates. Ask you doctor for suboxone and take it day by day. Good luck!

It is crazy how many people do fentanyl honestly with how many overdoses there has been and how fast people get addicted to it. I know people get it in the hospital which is also very crazy, I feel like that is how a lot of people end up getting addicted to fentanyl is they get it in the hospital, I had morphine in the hospital and ngl that shit was amazing but I never go out of my way to look for it, my medicine is honestly weed and I am fine with that. If I didn't quit smoking meth and was still in Phoenix i probably would be on here. Thank God i only did it for a couple years. I looked at myself and went nope i went from 160 to 100 i was skinny. A good way to feel sympathy for homeless people is to picture a family member in their situation, homeless, both mentally and physically ill… victims, and offenders in shocking crimes, the list really goes on. That’s the weird thing with life; you can lose so many people and loved ones that had it figured out but it seems like the people that wanna die are stuck around and almost tested by something… demons hang on the shoulders of these people, they’ll take them to the darkest valleys and just tear them down to their absolute lowest. These people are all warriors, if they can survive the streets doing the drugs they’re addicted to, then they can turn that energy into something actually real and meaningful.

I got clean off meth and fentanyl two days ago and most of the people I met while using are also sober. They say 5% get clean and out of the 5% only 2.5% are people with mental health issues I’m part of that 2.5% and I guess that 5% was around me a lot cause it’s a lot of us that are sober. Amen 🙏
