By the way, sorry for barely posting vids. I really have to focus on my studies even though it's summer. A tough year is ahead of me.
And last but not least; Last Christmas is most definitely a very special episode for 12 and Clara.. It's just something else.

I think Moffat was actually running out of physical stories to tell, places to go, aliens to see, bad things to happen... maybe he actually was tired of the show idk... this left more expansion room for dialogue, character development, evolution, dynamic relationships with ups and downs. Clara and 12's relationship truly felt grounded, intense, emotional and real. That's why this is so heartbreaking.

She had such a beautiful relationship with the doctor it is going to be so hard to match. Everyone always claims Rose had the most romantic relationship with him. I beg to differ. Clara had the most dynamic personality and her relationship changed and evolved with both regenerations. She was so human, and brought so much to the show.

Clara was the best written and acted companion ever. It was the first time on TV that I could really see two people having deep unconditional love for eachother without all that typically cheap tv romance crap. Clearly the best work of the modern show. But I think what I like most about their journey is how much of a significant impact another person can have on your soul. Capaldis portrayal of the doctors change is beyond fantastic and has never been reached since.. no shade to the other actors, they were also fantastic.

It's so hard to know that we already know every single scene that the two of them play together and that there are no new scenes to be discovered yet. They were so good together, they were the best because they brought so much deepness into their connection. Because neither of them were superficial characters, but deep, complicated and really smart. They were equal and that just brought out the best. Who of all the previous and following players could have beaten those special two? No chance! And a master like Missy refined the whole thing. She cannot be replaced either. We saw the best of the series. And when it's over, everything is sad, as the Doctor says. Then one honestly has reason to weep.

Aww, yeah that line hurts me so much too :( how much must've 12 worshipped Clara, when he's been around for over 2000 years, but HER death is the most significant thing that's ever happened to him. Longest month of his life = he loves HER more than anyone else, even her own mother. When he walks up to the painting of Clara, aka her shrine, it almost feels like he's walking up to his goddess.. 12 definitely loves Clara more than she loves him. It's just something else. It's more than the humanly love we know

I couldn't agree more. They're just perfect. Their love is not about passion or desire but something much much deeper and maturer. Clara loves the Doctor as well but in a different way. She loved the Chin Boy but their relationship was more like a boyfriend-girlfriend thing. She adored him, fancied him. That's why she was angry at the Doctor when he regenerated. She felt hurt. It was a new situation for both of them. She decided to be with Danny because she didn't want to be hurt that much again. She wanted something "normal" but the truth is - she still loved the Doctor and this kind of love can't be replaced. The Doctor wanted her to be happy. Her happines was more important than his. Therefore, he was angry that she dated a soldier. He though that Danny was not good enough for her but accepted it for her own happiness. Moreover, she was the first face this face saw:). Even Peter Capaldi tried to explain their relationship (watch?v=K7i62ERas2s).

Clara was when I enjoyed this show by far far far the most. No shade to other companions but not just was the show extraordinary at the time but also the time of my life was extraordinary. Although living alone, being sick and downbeaten for the first time in my life I truly grasped the concept of unconditional love and even tho I might never feel it.. to know it exists makes me happy.. I just wish it was applied more. Tommy Wiseau truly was right.. If a lot of people love eachother.. the world would be a better place.

The song is already saddening alone... even the vid is saddening alone. I love the scene at 1:00 and the Doctor calling for Clara Oswald in around 1:19 (The Witch's Familiar if I'm not mistaken) and the "My time is up" talk between Clara and the Doctor in Hell Bent. Let's just say I love all Clara & Twelve scenes you showed in the video... 😂😂 I love how protective the Doctor is of Clara. I believe his catchphrase has to be "duty of care".... Even though he might seem a harsh doctor.... He is very caring and grown ford of Clara... [Spoilers] Why did he have to take the memory wipe, and then remembering her when he tries to wipe Bill's memory? He didn't even want to be the Doctor he used to be while at University... because a part of him was missing.... I will never forgive that show for her death. There were ten thousand ways they could have gotten to where they needed to be for Heaven Sent/Hell Bent. But I guess the Butcher Of The BBC wanted one more needlessly depressing companion death on his tab before he went. So he gave his new attack dog Sarah Dollard her marching orders and one of the most wonderful, amazing characters in the show's entire time dies screaming on a hidden London side street. Eight months later and I am still so angry about this.

I don't want to play the devil's advocate but I've felt this was the way the show was going ever since Death in Heaven happened, I knew if there was a Series 9 she would probably die. And heroes die, so I've came to terms with it before. It made for a good story. If they came to Heaven Sent/Hell Bent without her death, it wouldn't be as dramatic and fun, you know? And since Jenna was supposed to leave the show after all, they needed a cop out. They already made Clara leave by her own terms a thousand times. After the point of Last Christmas, nothing would make Clara leave the Doctor. Death was the only way. They said their goodbyes, Clara stopped the Doctor from saying he's in love with her. Bad timing that's all.

What I didn't guess was the Doctor literally punching his way out for 4.5 billion years just to save Clara and when he finally finds Gallifrey after 10 years in the show, all that mattered was her and only her. And in the end, Clara lives, in a way. So try not getting so worked up about her death love. Trust me, at least 12 knew the anger you felt about her death :p

The intended end for Last Christmas is that she dies in old age. That the Old Clara dream layer was real, and that was her ending. Then earlier, Clara was supposed to just leave in Death in Heaven*, so we kind of got that ending too. But Jenna decided to stay on as companion because of Peter Capaldi, so we have the series 9 arc. *but that would be RIDICULOUS if they settled on LYING to each other, they deserve to be together. I would have stopped functioning lol
