This is still good, lol. Love the moment in the zygon inversion where they just connect, but the moment is loaded and they drop eye contact again. I don’t think they have comfort mechanisms for each other. As least, not canonically. The Doctor knows how to party when he’s about to die, but he doesn’t know how to handle the very real possibility that Clara would have died. He’s almost preparing himself, emotionally. Except lbr he’s bad at that. 127 missed calls? Maybe the box of annoying things (from deleted scene of Face the Raven) was just all his distractions.
