The one thing that pisses me off about us africans we have accepted the names given to our resources by our colonizers and western culture. Even our own identity is based on western names aka "christian name". Why cant we petition for name changes for our precious resources. They dont name their resources or land marks after our african heros. Why should we.Anyway as usual great show
@lucysiringwani99312 жыл бұрын
@ EKK. Surely, our fore fathers had names for this sites. It also open opportunity for us to talk about ourselves….who is Mickelson to us?
@KKE19782 жыл бұрын
@@lucysiringwani9931 exactly my point. Who is he and why cant we change that name back to our african heritage. Lake Mboya, Kimathi lake etc etc
@kim15702 жыл бұрын
@@KKE1978 So true. Lakes Ellis and Alice, Mackinder Valley, Queen's Cave, etc.. We need to find out what their indigenous names were. I'm however glad that points Lenana, Nellion and Batian still have their original names though.

@@kim1570 I highly doubt if the indigenous (Kikuyu) had summited the mountains before colonial times. The Kikuyu lacked the technology to climb mount Kenya
