During World War II, the actor Paul Newman aspired to become a Naval fighter pilot. However, he was disqualified from the training program when it was discovered that he had color blindness. Undeterred, he adapted and served as a radioman and rear gunner for a torpedo plane instead. Newman’s pilot developed an earache, which grounded their aircraft. Disappointed as they were, this turn of events ultimately saved their lives. The rest of their squadron departed for the USS Bunker Hill. A few days later, the Japanese launched a kamikaze attack on the carrier, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of pilots and crewmen, including members of Newman’s unit. If he had been a pilot instead of a gunner and his pilot was not ill, then he would have been on the Bunker Hill and died with his squadron. He felt guilt about that for most of his life, but when he met his wife Joanne Woodward, he managed to get over it.

I think that when it first came out, Seinfeld had a unique look on things that was quite hilarious. Now that people are used to the type of humor Jerry does, it seems it has grown old with some people, but others still find it funny. I know Jerry came to my town for a show, and it did not sell out a few years ago. There are some parts of the show that will go down in history as pushing the boundaries of comedy in the show, like: The bet episode, of who could go the longest without pleasuring themselves. Then Kramer slaps his money on the table almost right away. Shrinkage episode, the nipple Christmas card, there were many classics.
