Twenty one pilots fan here. I watched Arcane because I knew that TOP had a song in it. And I completely fell in love with the show. I love this song so much. I cried at least the first 20 times I listened to this song. It’s infused with grief. Tyler Joseph, vocalist and songwriter received the scenes that this song was going to be used for and in three days he had come out with this masterpiece. He also drew from his own experience of being in the room with his grandma when she passed. 💕

1:42 I think he's musically imitating the pitch and cadence of his grandma as she was dying and basically telling him to keep the memories of who she was before. he's embodying the memory of her in the ritual/art/shape of a song.

I love your reaction. I'm a big fan of Twenty One Pilots, so It's nice to here how others perceive their music. I like what you said about the way the deliver the vocals, and it not being what would normally be done. That's something I really like about them. They don't give you what you expect. Sometimes you expect a beat drop, and the song to go hard, but they bring it down soft. It's kinda their thing to keep you intrigued.

such a beautiful song and tyler's voice sounds so good. fits so well in the show when whats left of Sky and Vander disappears and Viktor starts the evolution, so emotional.
