goldcoastdebuty on Google translator they should add Twi/Akan as it’s easier to learn it there and it’s free. Can you please recommend this to Google and let me know how this goes?

goldcoastdebuty do you know Jamaicans kinda speak the twi language because we are descendants of the akan tribe
@missgoldtwi24826 жыл бұрын
Yes! I always see comments from Jamaicans stating how similar twi is to patois. Actually if you go to Kumasi and study the Ashanti people they have the same flag colours as Jamaica. .Yellow(gold) Black and the green. We are one. 😊

goldcoastdebuty aww I feel sooo proud of being African knowing how far we are coming from we even got hit by slave master because we would speak twi and they couldn't understand but you know what's funny is that they still can't understand even when wi speak our patwa language because it is a mixture of twi and English even today wi still speak twi language but it is only in the countryside of Jamaica where some of our ancestors refused to speak English I love Ghana so❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ much with all my heart. love ❤️

New subscriber here! Thank you so much for these videos! I am not from anywhere near Ghana, and it’s kind of a long story but I am determined to learn Twi. In a short amount of time, I have developed such a respect for the Twi dialect/language and for your country as a whole! I only speak English and Spanish, and although it hasn’t been long since I decided to start learning Twi, it has already been so awesome. Without an actual class in real life, I’ve been learning everything so far from resources online, including your videos. For all I know, I may never be fluent in Twi but I am sure going to try my hardest to learn as much as I possibly can and you have definitely helped out a TON with that. Girl, I’ve been taking notes from all of your videos! Please never stop doing #TwiTuesdays!

Amazing, the pronunciation of the alphabets is quite similar to my native language, Igbo in South East Nigeria. We only have more alphabets. Now I understand why we all belong to the grand tribe, bantu. I am really enjoying your lessons and I am eager to learn the Akan (Twi) language. I am your latest subscribe. And a big thumbs up to your channel.

Awww. That really amazing! I'm really glad that i can help. Remember too though, especially if you are in Accra, a lot of people are speaking Ga, so it may not all be Twi 😊 I have soo many questions... What made you move? How are you finding life in Ghana? Are you enjoying the food? Did you already have friends, family that you could live with?
@S.C.U.S.A6 жыл бұрын
I moved here to marry. We met online 😓 I have been here a year but the people speak so fast. I started in Accra but moved to Sunyani. I am surrounded by many languages. Twi, Ga and Hausa are a few. I have picked up the basic greetings of all but small, small😂 The food.. other than Bunko and fried rice, I cook American at home. I have lost 90 pounds in the year I have been here. I love the freedom of Ghana as America is more structured when it comes to people of color. We do have it harder than the white American. I love the family structure here but I am also learning the difference in families from different regions. I have so Many know questions as well 😕
