As someone who works with horses on the regular and rides please don’t blame the horse. The leaders weren’t good at all. The horses were way too close to each other which shouldn’t be happening with the riders having no control at all. Horses can be easily spooked and it doesn’t help when it gets mixed signals from the leader and the person riding. That man in the blue shirt is also riding such a small horse! The poor thing is obviously stressed since it’s quite rare for a horse to do this randomly.

Don't know much about horse riding, but from a third person perspective, something triggered the horse kick and Jungyeon was just unlucky to be at the wrong time at the wrong spot. Good thing shes all healed up now and well.

Yeah horses just don't start kicking out of nowhere. I just saw this clip in a compilation video of kpop accidents so I kinda wanted to see what would have triggered the horse but I need to see more of what happened before. *edit* I suspect it was because the rider was out of balance (which probably wasn't the first time during the ride) and he also pulled the reins right before the kick (also probably not the first time). I guess the horse got tired of him being in the way on it's back + it also knew it was going to be led down the hill which already takes effort for the horse, if it has inbalanced weight on it's back then I can't blame it for trying to get rid of it. But like I said I haven't seen enough before it and the images aren't very clear.

Horses don’t like it when something touches their tail so their natural instinct is to kick like that. The horse jungyeon was on walked past the other horse and brushed its tail making it kick.

Jilly Scott hairs don't have nerves on them and I've never met a horse that didn't let it's tail brushed. So what you are saying seems very unlikely to say the least. Also horses aren't stupid and they can see almost 360° around them so it's not like it was surprised by the other horse. It knew it was there. Either the horse came too close and the bay one told it to back off (which the white one didn't do because of the handler) or the rider of the bay horse was disrupting the balance of the horse and/or giving mixed signals (together with the handler) at which point the horse got enough of it. At least that's my theory of this.

It pretty hard to surprise a horse accidentely. (Unless they are very young or not trained enough to or trained in a wrong way and there is still a strong flight respons. or fight respons. But horses usually do flight first.) It would be stupid to use an untrained or young nervous horse for two people who don't know how to ride (even if there is a handler). So I'm guessing this horse is used to a lot of stuff. Like I said before the horse can also seem almost completely around itself. So it knew it was there, it knew it was close enough for maybe it's tail to hit. So I highly doubt merely brushing the other horse is what caused this behaviour. That's not normal herd behaviour. So either the other horse got too close a few times and the bay one already told it to back off which it didn't do (probably partly because of the handler) and then the bay one decided to not threaten it anymore but show the consequences. Or it was the rider who seems very unbalanced and the horse got sick of it. Or maybe there is a third reason which I can't tell at this moment because it's so short before the kick.

말 뒷다리킥 저거 잘못 맞으면 뼈부러져요. 진짜 큰일납니다. 울정도 그 이상으로 아파요. 댓글로 싸우시길래 알아봤는데 말 뒷발차기의 힘은 약 1톤이라고 합니다. 태권도 선수들의 평균 발차기 위력은 약 200kg~ 최대 1톤(회전을 하면 파괴력이 커진다고 합니다)입니다. 사람 몸무게를 70kg로 가정하였을때 말의 표준 무게는 350kg~ 700kg이므로 사람의 약 5~10배의 무게입니다. 게다가 사람의 다리 근육보다 말의 다리 근육이 훨씬 더 발달하였기에 사람의 5배의 위력을 가진 뒷발차기 기술을 갖고 있다고 할 수 있습니다. 그래서 말의 뒷발차기는 태권도 선수의 200kg인 발차기 위력의 5배인 약 1톤의 위력입니다.

Heartbreaking, but the part that got me teary eyed is at 0:32 when the Chief, Kim Byungman goes running towards her. The man has a heart of gold and he's made tons of sacrifices for this show and always looked out for his members. Also the scene where he made a wooden crutch for Jeongyeon. That was really touching and got me shed a tear. Jeongyeon did have some screen time on the first 2 episodes of this chapter where she smiled, laughed, ate some meat, and had a fun time. But what's more heartbreaking than her being kicked by the horse is when the staff told her during that rainy morning that she had to leave because of the storm that's about to come and the dangerous weather. Seeing the reaction on her face just shatters my heart. I hope she did get a chance to do it all over again. Law of the Jungle is one of the best TV shows ever.

I've worked with horses all my life. The situation was triggered by letting the horses too close to each other, and the man in blue shirt kept putting a lot of tension on the reins, which irritates and obviously hurts a lot. Accidents happen with horses, this one could've been avoidable but fortunately nothing worse happened.

i was a competitive horseback rider for 6 years, and this was no one's fault. something startled the horse so it was kicking in defense, and jungyeon just happened to be there at that time. please don't blame anyone, it's nobody's fault. let's be glad she wasn't injured worse :)

I almost got kicked by a horse when I was around 8 yrs old. I was on a beach and my family let me ride a horse with a trained person. The person left me on the horse alone so I could take a picture. The horse almost ran away so I tried to stop it like how the person taught me and it started moving it’s hind legs. The person tamed the horse and luckily I was fine. Ever since then I don’t remember riding a horse anymore tbh. I won’t say I am “afraid” of horses but I would just avoid them I guess.

애초에 이런 프로그램 자체가 실수라고 봄. 나도 한참 전성기때는 봤지만 사실 정글이라는 데 자체가 어떤 일이 있을 지도 모르는 너무 위험한 곳임. 정법에서 정연 뿐만 아니라 오하영, 유이도 다친 걸로 아는데 그냥 종영했으면 좋겠다

I’m just seeing this now coz I’m a baby Once. We can clearly say Jeongyeon have a pure heart ever since. She didn’t want them to be sorry for her despite of the negligence (kinda) of the people handling the horses. Jeongyeon is my bias. 💚🐶

The person leading the horses should know to not let the horses get too close to each other especially with poeple who don't ride, even if the horse is bombproof it can still decide to kick the orther horse. This was the person leading the horses fault, he should have know what could happen.

Not the horse fault. The man holding them should know you're not supposed to let two horses get so close to each other. It was obvious one would kick the other.

These horses are used to this situation so that definitely wasn't what happened. Besides even if the horse tends to kick other horses, there is usually some signs before that tell the horse is going to kick.

Not all horses have horse shoes and it would hurt either way. If you get the full load of a horse kick, whether it hashorse shoes or not won't be your biggest worry.

Alot of horses only have shoes on the front ,a kick from a horse can be very painful and break afew bones...I've only gotten injured by falling off ,luckily not by being kicked yet (I've never had one of my horses kick me ,it's always bucking in saddle and I always find out what's wrong because my horses only kick if in pain)

This happened a few years back but i'm really glad that the injury was not extremely severe to the extent of ruining her career as an idol performer. A horse kick can be fatal, and honestly through the screen, I thought the kicks would cause her bones to be fractured or what since they were really hard, but thank god it's nothing too serious 🥺❤

It was nothing Jeongyeon did. I’m an equestrian myself and sometimes horses start kicking when they become scared of something. edit: now that I see it the horses were way too close to each other. Horses start kicking when they get too close.
