It's uncertain if everytime they write it they get to assign the lines, this song is a good example since jeongyeon wrote it for jihyo's album, so her vision would be just jihyo singing it, if she redistributed it for everyone is unconfirmed. @@GabrielAlves-ig6wh the way I approach this is that I also understand that the songs they sing are works by producers and composers, who are artists themselves. So I try to respect their direction for their song, too! Even if sometimes it’s a disappointing single line for my bias (though that is extreme and thankfully not too prevalent in TWICE). Based on Nayeon and Jihyo’s bts from their solo recording, I think recently they do work with the producers on how their songs are sung. I just trust that TWICE sing the song as they all understand and intend to present it and enjoy the product for what it is. Of course, having a different opinion is valid, but a lot of fans nitpick the number of seconds each member sings, and I think it sours their experience. I just recently saw how fans complained that CY has little lines in One Spark, but disregard how she looked so happy performing the song (plus she gets her spotlights in other songs!). There’s a give and take/a balance that I think TWICE already know. (Sorry for the ramble!)

Trust the girls since they do have a say on their outputs now, and collaborate with the producers of the songs they perform. They will not release things they are unhappy with, and the fact that this song was put out must mean Jeongyeon is happy with it, regardless of the seconds she sings in the song 😁

So, according to their comeback live, jeongyeon asked who's voice was that (the C6 high note as they were talking about how Nayeon spoiled it with a little scream, so it's referencing that high note), and nayeon asked something with "Jihyo" in it, but her question wasn't translated, it looks like she's asking if it was jihyo, and jihyo's answer was "it was her and me" according to the subtitles, but jihyo says something with "Unnie". With that: - Jihyo is confirmed to take a part in the high note with someone else - Jeongyeon is confirmed to have not assigned the lines, as she would obviously know who've done it if she assigned the lines So now we just need to wait for a clearer translation of what they said

No doubt jeongyeon >> mina and sana in vocal technique, but it's obvious that her husky and deep tone is not the go to for the arrangers when deciding the lines, that's why jeongyeon gets less lines but with more power nowadays. Bloom is a great example, they got jeongyeon deep and sultry lines to sing (2nd verse and her bridge line which btw sounds amazing), while giving the chorus to the other more skilled vocalists and their go to members in terms of recording high lines (nahyo), and also gave sana and mina the high pitched chorus because even tho jeongyeon>>them in vocal technique, they have more ease on singing higher (it doesn't mean they are better, they just have ease in singing higher keys because of their lighter tone)
