@Twice They debuted on October 20, 2015. Jeongyeon, Momo, and Sana’s birthdays are in November and December respectively. So they didn’t turn 19 yet

The crazy thing about this debut is they are STILL getting to know each other here. Since they were formed due to a competition show, they hadn't all trained together until then. I believe Jihyo, Nayeon, and Jeongyeon were trained together and were friends beforehand, Sana and Momo knew each other, and mmmaaayyybbeeee Chaeyoung, Dahyun, and Tzuyu knew each other because of school? That last one though I'm iffy on. Point is, they weren't a team, they never trained together, and were debuting in a group of people they barely knew. Obviously their instant chemistry together was pure chance, as no one would suspect these nine girls would become best friends that quickly and it being this long lasting. TWICE really is an good example of pure luck and capturing lightning in a bottle. You can't plan for a group to be this good and this tight right away. It just happens naturally.

I think going through their earlier songs would be fun. Momo almsot didn't debut with Twice. She got eliminated from the running but JYP brought her back recognizing the value her dancing would bring. ❤ our Dancing Mochine. That dance practice was shot in JYPEs old building. Twice's success is often credited for JYPE's new building

Yes this was there debut and there first MV but they were formed on a survival show called 16/sixteen and most were trainees for several years before being selected to compete on the show Jihyo has been a trainee since she was 8 years old she had the longest training time which was ten years before she was able to debut with Twice

Can you imagine - there are people who saw this video or heard this song and that's the last thing they knew about Twice lol "Just another group, cute concept, okay, not for me." For Cheer Up, which is what really skyrocketed them, they leaned into that cute concept hard and it paid off. Apparently that's what Korea needed at the time because it was meteoric

I Stan a lot of groups, but Twice are my Ults by a long-shot. It’s almost impossible to have a Bias, as they are all such amazing humans, but I usually go 12% Chaeyoung, 11% each other member. Jeongyeon’s hair here is my favorite of all her styles. Regarding how much of a unit they already were; Watch some episodes of Sixteen, they show where they were formed; Brutal competition, though I warn you, you *will* cry at what they go through. I did, and I’m a grown-ass-man, as they say. If you haven’t yet, watch some Time to Twice, you will fall even more for them all, and yes, Dahyun is insanely funny in them.

jeongyeon was really done dirty during their debut song she got only one part and that was the last chorus but the adlibs were louder than her chorus😭 when a fan asked her opinion on it, she said that “it’s not always going to be like that” but things still haven’t changed 🥲 really sucks to see that a lead vocalist gets pushed to the back and is rarely given any lines or adlibs that showcase her powerful vocals

Unlike the cutesy vibe they took on later, they debuted with the concept “Wild Edge,” which as you can see and hear is a little sassy and bratty. Some solid rap tracks in this debut era. Also, if you’re gonna debut as an idol under Papa JYP’s company, you’d better be a confident dancer. The man’s got a reputation to uphold.
