I think Momo is understandable because she's a dancer and gets her spotlight during dance breaks. She must not be comfortable herself having to sing more cuz of the unnecessary hate and twice songs aren't rap based too so Dubchaeng are in the bottom too although majority of their raps are iconic and they slay. I would love to see more of tzuyu Mina and jeongyeons vocals too since Sana gets a good amount of vocal lines and killing parts too.

Thanks for this OnceLine, this was so interesting, I have only just stumbled across this. Unfortunately with k-pop groups, and music bands in general, it is not a democracy, they are all there to do a certain job that they are paid for and (normally) agree to. As an example, NORMALLY in the UK/US most rock bands have a lead singer, guitarist (often the lead singer), bassist, drummer and backing musicians. The singer/ guitarist get all the attention and are the most famous, that's just the way it is. The other musicians know their place. I can see that k-pop is sometimes different, for example on Fancy Naeyeon has the most lines but the thing I (and probably many Once's remember) is Cheyoung's 'Fancy Woo' line, it is iconic. So it is not just about quantity, it is about quality. This is just my humble opinion though so feel free to educate me, I would love to see people's opinions. And I really do not want to offend any Onces on here so sorry if I did offend.

Jihyo gets more lines than Jeongyeon and Jihyo is main vocalist, however I do not hate Jihyo bc how could I? she has powerhouse vocals its crazy, it's just that Sub Vocalists should not be getting way more lines than Jeongyeon, who is a lead. Producers value "tone" over technique, they care more on how the song will sound which is understandable. JY's tone isn't for kpop, hence, less lines. But she is still the 2nd best vocalist in TWICE and it also means that their positions are based on their skills, she is one of the lead vocalists bc she is a skilled vocalist and she deserves that position. Even if others sing more than her, skills-wise, they aren't at 3Mix's level yet. Line distribution is NOT the basis of their positions.

This video has really showcased just how bad the line distributions are in Twice. For eg in heart shaker. Both Nayeon and Jeongyeon are lead vocals but Nayeon had 44 secs while Jeongyeon only had about 10 secs???? Nayeon is my bias but I can't help but feel for Jeongyeon. Almost like JYP is wasting her potential

I really think the vocal ranking is; Jihyo. Nayeon. Jeongyeon. Mina. Sana. Chaeyoung. Tzuyu. Dahyun. Momo. This based on last walzt and is that Sana proved to be able to hit a high note, like Mina in Love Foolish, Chaeyoung is a good vocalist but her forte is rap.
