Twiddlemuffs - STHK

Twiddlemuffs are a great way to help people with moderate or later stages of dementia when they are bored or in need of distraction in hospital.
The knitted muffs, which act as a therapeutic aid for our dementia patients, also provide simple stimulation for hands, while promoting increased flexibility and brain stimulation.

The wonderful staff at Whiston hospital gave my late mum a fiddle blanket when she was diagnosed with vascular dementia. I can't thank the staff in the hospital for the quality of care she received when she got her diagnosis and the quality of end of life care she received the following year.
