@@periclescomoeddie5215 Nice. I'm getting there daily now, even twice back to back today & one almost with EG child, but he died while sleeping on tiamat level for some strange reason... I got to the top within 20 seconds, so I'm salty about that loss but at least it's documented. Still haven't beaten my PB of 7-17. I struggle with finding a safe spot for HH so haven't done any of this fancy stuff yet. I have done Jet-pack + ropes qilin skip in 4 runs though. Edit- I think I made it too CO 4 times in a day over about 5 hours of game time but still the temple CO reks me every time. www.twitch.tv/0xizzyx0

I was playing a lot and dying heaps. Decided to chill out and went slower in my runs. Finally made it to CO and then it's like something clicked. I was a lot more confident from there on. Though just yesterday I accidentally fired the shotgun in Madame Tusk's gambling room in Tide Pool. I was just trying to put it down, but was rushing things.

The hired help at 1:4, 2 in general, The balck market, General in Volcana (except Vlad's Castle), etc. Are all Character Coffins. They're prevented from spawning in order to prevent "easy Character unlocks" with a powerful seeded Run or Daily. So this way, they only needed to deactivate the Coco Unlock for seeded Runs because she usually spawns in Vlad's castle. I think it's just easier to code it this way.

hey twiggle, I think the reason there's no hired help on the daily or on seeded run is for speedrunning's sake. As I'm sure you know, hired helps are super random, extremely unpredictable, and very hard to properly manage. By removing most of them, they remove most of the chance that rng fucks you over.

My guess is they are too much of a variable, so the daily/seed isn't the same/equal for everyone. So we believe it's for the same reason, although we don't know that's the reason for sure.

In my humble opinion I think they removed all hired help coffins that had counted as character unlocks. This would explain why the Vlad’s castle hired helps stay. If a relatively new player had an easy way or guide each day or seed to get a character unlock I think it would take away from the experience. Coco might be an exception though (unlocked by opening one of the coffins in the castle), but they might have removed the ability for her to be unlocked during those runs too.
