So on the Nova, facet of courage didn't proc so I just did a quick retest and it did 1.3mil so nova is still a bit better.

@@JA-kr1lz I'd say warlock and titan are about the same since titan is around 1.2 and warlock is around 1.3 but warlocks block your teammates shots during damage phases

The suspend from titan's prismatic grenade wears off before your super finishes so your titan numbers may not be accurate either. Sever or unravel is probably more reliable, but it's more awkward to activate...

Twilight arsenal just needed that little buff to throw it off the edge, though the buff to Twilight arsenal exposed how much of waste it is to run thundercrash. The cooldown, base damage and the risk of basically throwing yourself at an enemy completely overshadows every positives it has

They'll probably buff thundercrash eventually, it really needs it for how risky it can be. It needs a buff more than any other super. And the aim assist and the hitbox needs to be increased for PvE specifically. But I can see why they chose to buff Twilight Arsenal and hammers first though. It makes way more sense. Regardless of how much damage T-crash does, long range supers are always going to be more optimal than T-crash in endgame scenarios. Just because of how T-crash is designed to throw your character at the enemy. So pushing them into the meta helps the class more. When you're just talking about supers (nothing else), these two have a bigger impact on the classes viability.

What is the point of T-crash rn? It got powercreep by many range supers without using any exotic. The "Roaming super" cd also make no sense in pvp when Hunter's new super is pretty much 3 T-crashes combine into 1 less cd super.

A lot of other supers have no point in them as well though. Void hunter is just for deadfall, the other 2 arent used as much, and there's no point in arc warlock while we have nova bomb or song of flame. Needlestorm is good if you have a threadling build, but bungie only focuses on certain abilities in d2 per update sadly

Yes the new hunter super that randomly doesn’t work, gets clipped onto literally any wall or ceiling if you use controller, and has zero damage resistance, you can literally get shotgunned ones and be out of your super, it sucks

T crash imo should be the highest or second highest (behind normal goldy) base super in the gane. Its risky cause you have to be close. And is a slow super comapred to axes or nova

Meanwhile Thundercrash: - Base damage is the lowest that there is - Still has the bug where it won't direct impact bosses - Highest Risk and mediocre rewards - Cant be used on Arc because Arc is meme

Another thing about twilight, for bosses that are on the ground, you can use the axes another time, sure, it doesn't do full damage, but it adds to the total.

1:41 are you sure you got facet of courage to activate as the stasis part doesnt kick in for a little, and the grenade didnt hit the boss. So maybe nova is still better?

It’s worth mentioning there is also a artifact mod that buffs void damage to weakened targets, so both nova bomb and twilight arsenal could be pushed a bit further. Same with having a well or other buff.

To apply darkness debuffs better, slash with frenzy blade because the suspend doesn't last long enough because it snaps and removes the debuff almost immediately.

To everyone still saying “Oh glacio is the best titan super” NO ITS NOT. Yes THEORETICALLY it can do the highest dps in the game BUT in practicality it SUCKS. You don’t take into account the cast time, how long you spend in the super to do that damage as opposed to a one off super where you use it and just dump all your ammo after. It’s also VERY situational. You ain’t using it on something like the witness, ir yut, or the ghost of the deep final boss.

@@ninjy Just in general since those supers aren’t on Prismatic. Both Blade Barrage and Gather Storm are some of my favourite supers so I’d like to see how they fair in comparison to Nova Bomb and Twilight Arsenal. I recall Blade Barrage getting nerfed back in Season of the Plunder for doing too much damage so I wanted to see if it’s comparable to the current meta or if it needs a buff. ???? Tbh a super nova should be doing more than axes, a gun with powr if the sun, from within it bursting at the seams should be more than axes from lore perspective js. Idk why ppl mad about that. Secondly, axes buff slap, and its damn near competing with Nova. Respectively and gameplay wise happy that they are at least within ball park

Base twilight is deceiving on its own cuz you get self weakening. If the enemy is debuffed. Cuirass is still doing quite a bit more

Warlocks are just the best for normal dmg pris titan is mid unless you crutch melee builds and you are tossing if you use twilight over glacial for more melee dmg

Try testing it again but use the entire super. You would be amazed at how much more damage you get down of grabbing each axe and doing 9 lights 1 heavy per. Do that for all 3 axes plus the initial throw damage for total twilight arsenal damage.

You would do a lot less dps than just using any normal weapon rotation. Picking up the axes is never good in a boss fight except to refresh the weaken while the boss is immune during the final stand animation.

@@ixodesricinus3001 I mean those things swing pretty fast. I can dish out the 9-1 combo in a few seconds. In the event I'm out of rockets or GLs and depending on when I've used my super in the rotation of things or extended encounters I'd be very willing to maximize those versus letting them sit on the floor and kill ads or plink with primary.

@@hanshotfrst803what boss damage phase are you running out of ammo? If you are doing the difficult content where there are actual dps checks most teams just run aeons or cenotaph. Optimizing for total damage isn't relevant in the current sandbox.

@@tristanwright9572 doing Carries, it happens during planets, nezarac as a runner, shurochi, rarely but happens on taniks, master templar and atheon, master warpriest and golgoroth. sisters can push the limits of ammo. Warlords ruin last 2 bosses. Some GMs I just use too much and have nothing left to gate down bosses. Its situational but If my damage rotation starts with super then weapons it's fine. If I messed up and did weapon then super its nice to get every little bit. Its situational but still the situation does arise. I was just curious total damage potential. Time wise using the initial plus axes of twilight arsenal I feel like it's about the same as the full hammer of sol timer. If standing there for 8-10 seconds throwing hammers nets X damage, what's does standing there for 8-10 seconds throwing axes equal? I feel like itd be more since the initial hits are high.
