really interesting to me how close the time is to 100%. like it has a certain amount of intuition to it, it stands to reason that if every item is in a truly random location it’s fairly likely that you’ll end up running through more or less the whole game searching nooks and crannies pretty directionlessly, but in practice having such a drastically altered game sequence resulting in a time similar to a comparably regular way to play is neat

It's satisfying to do, too. But the ending here was rough because the full version of this, which is even more satisfying, uses the ball & chain for two chilfos, and I didn't have it yet in the rando. Are you playing on dolphin? Have you tried setting a higher internal resolution? I recently played through this game again at 4k and it's such a beautiful experience.

This is on console. I prefer playing on console because I'm used to it from speedruns, and Dolphin just has a tiny bit of extra input delay on my setup that makes my playing experience very slightly worse. But yeah, TP SD on Dolphin at high resolution looks amazing. Far better than TP HD, imo.

The items can be anywhere, which means it may be impossible to complete the game. A randomizer with logic guarantees that it's possible to complete the game.

is it hard for you to casually play zelda’s games that you speedrun? like do u always “feel the need to go fast” i feel like if i speed ran games i would have an issue trying to play at like a “normal speed” i hope this comment doesn’t come off as rude, sometimes i’m not good at wording things i apologize.

In rando they modded spinner to have stallord (arbiters ground final boss) room speed in vanilla it wouldn’t give the player speed on the ground without jumping on and off spinner rails first and the speed only lasted a very short duration hope this helps
