The writer Steve Newby did a really good job on this one. I was convinced it was written by Rod Serling but I was wrong. Steve Newby came on board very late there was a total of 18 volumes produced for the radio between 2002-2012. He joined the writing team during volume 16, 'Rest Stop' this episode was written between 2011 - 2012. He only wrote 5 in total the other four are 'The Walk-Abouts vol 16', 'The Nanobots vol 17', 'Two Thousand-Twelve vol 18'. And the very last episode 'Another Place In Time'. Shame he came on board just a little bit too late. Loved this episode, he's obviously a big fan of Rod Serling. 😀
