Sounds like bump steer. My fwd drivetrain in the rear doesn't have a steering rack. I made solid tie rod mounts. Pull the springs, put the car in the air. You then put the tire through range of motion and measure toe in and toe out. I expect when the tire moves up it creates toe change.

It's easy. Do it just like a fiero (which had a front wheel drive setup in the rear). Get rid of the rear steering rack. Weld a tierod mount to the frame. Then, once adjusted (for toe) it will eliminate the play.

I would also add, you have to get the geometry for the tie rod right, or you will get bump steer.

Check your control arm bushings. The late-model G6’s were notorious for bad control arms from the factory. If they’re bad, replace them, but don’t torque them down until the vehicle is either on the ground or the suspension is loaded. Not sure if other cars are like that, but that’s a sure-fire way to cause the G6 control arms to fail early.

There is science that is missing here, and a reason to why AWD meet at a common gearbox, I don't quite understand it but I don't think there is anything you could do to really make this work like this, eventually you would have the rear tear off from the chassis. I would guess that maybe you could somehow attach the two subframes but there is inherent problems related to getting all 4 wheels to work together, and in a straight line. Much less when you turn and weight shifts. Considering camber and tow which requires you to have a sturdy connection between all 4 wheels. Maybe look into frame design, 4wd frame design, vehicular engineering, not even sure myself, but best of luck on it, fairly fascinating idea! There is a guy that put a LS in the back of a corvair John Reynolds might have some good ideas if nothing else very entertaining.

The alignment is way out of wack bro lol ... maybe do what u said get rid of the rack and weld in a solid adjustable arm . Alignment is going to be a major issue for you as front and rear are totally diff. What I believe is happening is called bump steer . I've been a mechanic for 20 yrs man . Never seen anything like this so great job for you.
