This song is composed in a raag called Malkauns. The only notes that are used are Saa Ga(flat) Ma Dha(flat) Nee(flat) Saa. In the western solfege, this is, Do Mi(flat) Faa La(flat) Ti(flat) Do. This is one of the ancient scales in Hindustani music and can invoke powerful religious emotions in Indian minds.

Incidentally, I found a _very_ old film composition from 1970 (from the movie ZALA MAHAR PANDHARINATH) Checking in Marathi film database reveals that the lyrics were by G. D.
