A mythical scene from Twin Peaks - Audrey/Sherilyn Fenn's sex appeal is truly amazing.

Truly iconic. TV was never the same after this. With her sultry slow lone dance in the middle of a cafe and her cherry-twisting scene, Sherilyn Fenn was at the center of two very important life-turning moments in the history of TV.

Audrey is literally best character in show. It's a pity she didn't end up with agent Cooper!

She was actually supposed to but Lara Flynn Boyle (Donna), who was dating Kyle MacLachlan during Season 2, nixed the idea. Word is that Sherilynn Fenn was none to happy about that because the storyline would've given her a lot more screen time and exposure.
@samg97717 жыл бұрын
Not to mention Lara had Kyle make up an excuse about the characters having too big an age difference, then hire an actress that was even younger that Sherilynn.

@@theflyxx I watched the show for the first time recently and read about that yeah. It's so surprising that they allowed an actress to push them into a decision like. Sherilynn Fenn described it as "stupid", seems like the two of them really didn't like each other very much. But you'd think that when Lara Flynn Boyle started with that whole thing they would've said something along of "sorry but you're just one of the actresses, you're not a writer, if you've got a problem with it then piss off!"...

First time I came to the Seattle area was on a long Sept 1991 road trip. Saw the TP sights, dined at the diner and then hit the sights of Seattle. When it was time to go, as I was headed east out of town I thought I'd make one last stop at the diner, but it was closed. Instead I got to watch David Lynch & company film part of the FWWM scene where Mrs. Tremond presents Laura with the picture. Sheryl Lee was out of costume at that point as the camera was positioned to look over her shoulder at Mrs. Tremond and the picture. Saw a handful of other actors milling about with the crew as this was going on. Eventually I had to hit the road. Ended up having dinner at the Roslyn Café, in Roslyn, WA - where they filmed exteriors for Northern Exposure.

@brianm28817 жыл бұрын
Yeah, what the hell was that about? I kept on waiting for her to stab Billy Zane's character in season 2. Thing about Twin Peaks is that after the main storyline ended and Lynch became less involved in the show, it mostly degenerated into a soap opera which is ironic because that's the style it had initially been parodying and subverting.
@cassandra18197 жыл бұрын
She absolutely was, she had just evolved. Look at her scenes with Bobby again as just one example of her mischief - in fact, she has more fun than ever in season 2 because she finally starts to gain some genuine confidence. I feel like so many people overlook the sheer development of her character in season 2, she was starting to mature into a woman and was stronger than ever with her activism.
@austinpearce54427 жыл бұрын
ABC made them end the main storyline
@bc21944 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm watching it all for the first time at the moment and I'm at the part when the Billy Zane character turns up. It sucks! Audrey totally changed for the worse, far less entertaining and just borderline boring. I understand yeah that people argue that she was maturing, growing up, etc but the fact that fans thought it was crap and ratings started plummeting means that it was definitely a silly way to go...
@nursegrace74928 жыл бұрын
Lara Flynn Boyle was pissed that Audrey got more and more emphasis in the episodes, when she assumed the show would focus more on Donna. You can tell she's not very "giving" in the scene.
@BCTMarcus8 жыл бұрын
Even if this were true, this particular scene isn't about Flynn Boyle being 'pissed' and 'not giving', IMHO. It's about an adolescent girl (Donna) who lost her best friend Laura who went too far, and now Donna is recognizing some of Laura's puzzling behaviour in a girl with whom they weren't really friends with. She's confused and intrigued. And I think that both Fenn and Flynn Boyle are doing a great job in this epic scene, apart from all the true-or-not-true stories about actor's ego's on the set.
@boobysr7 жыл бұрын
Source came from the fact that an entire arc of the series had to be cut because of Lara Flynn Boyle's trifling self. Originally, Cooper was slated to get together with Audrey, but Boyle (who was dating Kyle McLaughlan at the time) threw a huge hissy fit and convinced him to refuse to play the part if Lynch let it happen. And Lynch rewrote the script. Really, she's just some stupid starlet who overshot her expectations for her character. Audrey became way more popular than Donna, and she just couldn't stand that her boyfriend was going to have a story arc with her.
@it-s-a-mystery7 жыл бұрын
I hope that's not true. I hate when actors damage the creative integrity of a show
@it-s-a-mystery7 жыл бұрын
Ugh. I just found this.. "I love Billy Zane, I think he’s a sweetie, but… it was a silly thing that Audrey Horne and Agent Dale Cooper didn’t stay together, because that’s what should’ve happened. It happened organically, without anyone making a plan for it to happen. But they had to stop it because… [Takes a deep breath.] People got mad and jealous and… it was just stupid. Ugh." "I… I’m bad. I’m not supposed to say it. But David knows I tell what happens, and what happened was that Lara [Flynn Boyle] was dating Kyle [MacLachlan], and she was mad that my character was getting more attention, so then Kyle started saying that his character shouldn’t be with my character because it doesn’t look good, ’cause I’m too young. Literally, because of that, they brought in Heather Graham-who’s younger than I am-for him and Billy Zane for me. I was not happy about it. It was stupid."- SF I always thought Heather Grahams character seemed a little shoehorned in to Coopers life, the relationship always felt forced and was one of the weakest arcs of TP.. Oh wow, the ending of TP would have been so much more powerful if it had been "Where's Audrey?" at the end, fucking good job Lara. I hope she regrets being so immature.
Thanks for uploading Twin Peaks! Absolutely mythical, for sure!
