Kiefer Sutherland's character was basically a parody of the Twin Peaks-uber-fan that completely missed the point at every turn. Looking through the hole of the doughnut.

I listen to all these Badalamenti (or Fakalamenti as some claim) tracks and just tap my toe and bob my head around like a fool. Looking right through the donut hole. Giving myself a little gift each day, just letting it happen.

This is actualy not composed by Badalamenti. It was composed by David Slusser and David Lynch. But still very fine music indeed.

This track was released on the soundtrack to The Return and the track is credited to Badalamenti, so whomever insisted it wasn't composed by Badalamenti seems to be incorrect.

The credits on the Return soundtrack are obviously wrong. Or maybe has something to do with copyright issues. But this is a David Slusser/David Lynch creation for sure. The musicians on this track are clearly the same ones who'd play also only on "Best Friends", the other track of the FWWM sessions composed by the Slusser/Lynch duo. All the Badalamenti tracks are instead played by Angelo, Kinny Lindrum, Vinnie Belll... all the classic Twin Peaks ensemble!!!

Great piece of music right here. This film - though full of the ingenious dream logic of Lynch - has its flaws, yes, but its soundtrack isn't one of them
