If you follow my Insta or twt you might’ve known abt this already, or even seen a few sneak peeks, but I free like a normal upload would not be enough so I am instead doing a premiere.
The song is Twin Sized Mattress by The Front Bottoms.
Time: 67hrs (over the span of 3 weeks)

More than 1800 procreate layers used
The ending was a bit rushed but I wanted to get this out before the new ep lol

Ok I want to further explain the reason how Marcy was possessed, and the reason she was able to pull through in the end. At 3:05, we can see green Anne fading into orange Anne, (created by the core of course), with the lyrics “she hopes I’m cursed forever”, planting the seed of doubt into Marcy’s mind that maybe her friends wouldn’t want to see her again, and the fact that she was already riddled with guilt doesn’t help either. With core/Anne fading away, Marcy was left on her own in agony and was stuck there until the core reaches her, where it grabs her by the face. This is the process of the core breaking Marcy mentally. She tries to fight back with the lil shake of her head but eventually the core was able to overwhelm her and convinced her that her friends would never forgive her for what she’s done and that she’ll be alone forever, severing her will to keep fighting, as theres nothing/no one to fight for anymore, thus giving the core full control. When Anne said “I forgive you”, this reached her, this line was able to reach Marcy and pulled her out of the darkness of guilt that drowned her and it rekindled her will to fight, she needed to fight. She managed to overcome the core with a feeling so strong the core was forced back into the helmet and was severed from her mind when she ripped the hel off. She was able to be controlled because she had lost hope, she believed there was one who needed her or wanted her anymore, giving her the sense that fighting the core pointless, so she just gave in. Anne’s line gave her the hope she needed to over come that, maybe, just maybe there’s still a chance that Anne and Sasha would still want her, and she grabbed onto that feeling like an anchor and that was the salvation of this situation. Everything from 3:13-3:35 was amazing! I love how you portrayed Darcy/The Core as this messy nightmare that then takes form as it approaches Marcy in her mind. Then seeing Marcy just close her eyes and give in, that really hit me. Great animation also. Very fluid and emotive. I particularly loved that subtle movement in Marcy’s face and hair as Darcy gripped her face.

One of my fav amphibia animatics. The song fits so well! I am a big fan of the falling Sasha scene. The lyrics work for that moment so perfectly. Plus including all 3 girls and their colors. Oh! And the moment when Marcy is betrayed by Andriass but she immediately wipes her tears and fights, determination on her face. And the mud situation at the beginning, you can really see the friendship between Anne and Sprig. There is so much in this video that fits so well and carries so much weight, especially when one knows the context. It's great pace as well + so emotional. Great work!

Ok this was incredible work,I absolutely love this animatic a lot and it fits so well in this story,I love the music choice for this,I never heard this song before but I absolutely love it and love how it matches perfectly well in this and I really love the color coding for each aspect of the video and love how there were many animation bits in this as well that just made this all the more smooth and love how it started with Anne and Sasha and then turn to Anne and Marcy at the end,and I love how you drew Anne and Sprig and having each other backs and so dose Polly And HopPop and love when Sasha saw her reflection it showed Anne words and how it affected her and man my favorite moments was probably 2:55 to the end cause it has the best momentum and the animation was amazing and I was hurting seeing Marcy hurt and even seeing the core was crazy/Dark and Having Anne bringing her back even telling her that she forgives her showing the best in the expression was beautiful and I know you said the ending was rush but I love how it turn out and I absolutely loves these Characters and love Amphibia so much and you did incredible work and hope you and your family have a great day/Stay safe👍🏼⭐️💙🦉🐸😁💚⭐️👍🏼

It's been two years since this released. I think I saw it on the day it dropped. Different account. The comment I left is probably still here. And I... just keep coming back to it. The animation is so snappy. The colour work is simple but deliberate. The song choice is not only immaculate (it was my in-road to the front bottoms and now I'm a huge fan) but syncs up incredibly well with everything else. It's just... there's nothing quite like it. I still remember the way I gasped when the colour shifted from blue to green and I realised that this was going to be a full trio animatic. It's never left me. I've never recovered from it. One day I hope to be able to make something like this. It makes me ramble with proper capitalisation and punctuation in a youtube comments section before I go to bed. I had never seen and still really haven't seen anything like it. I don't really know how I'm gonna end this. I could keep on gushing for paragraphs upon paragraphs, given the opportunity. But I guess what I really mean to say is... thank you. For sharing this with all of us. You had a real gift that shone through two years ago and I can't imagine those two years have done anything but refine it. Thank you.

I haven't even watched your other content but this video alone is convincing me to subscribe. Great job! Not only do the expressions look good, they look REAL. Sprig's tongue sticking out in the close-up with his slingshot honestly, PERFECTLY captures his character. The rest of his expression looks serious, ready to fight, which is a fair portion of his character. But then that tongue, just sticking out a little bit, adds that little bit of goofiness, which is also part of him. Even the poses are amazing. The scene where Anne and Sasha draw their swords is just perfect. The poses after they finish their movement capture their characters as well. Anne is holding it haphazardly, letting the tip drag along the ground. This lets both of her arms rest to unleash an attack unexpectedly, signifying her careful and cautious character. Sasha holds the sword directly in front of her with both hands, sticking it up. This shows that she only wants to attack, with little room for rest. Sasha is bold, and would absolutely not hesitate in a fight. And then there's Marcy. Most of her scenes are recreations of those from the show, but then... There's the Core. The scene with the white void and seeing a red Anne walk away, "abandoning" her, shows her insecurity after True Colors. She feels like Anne and Sasha will never trust her again. And then, the representation of the Core taking her over being a humanoid version of the Core, walking over, taking hold of her, is perfect. The animation of this becomes very smooth at certain points, and sometimes even resembles that of the show. This animatic is amazing, and deserves so much more attention. 💙 -TimmySky
