My closest track is only an 1/8 th mile and I hate it. My turbo barely benefits me over n/a. I only see a real benefit from the turbo in 3rd gear, which I top out in the 1/8. 1st and 2nd are too short and all about consistency. At least in the 1/4 I shift into 4th and greatly benefit from turbo.

I'm so glad to see the Fast Times Motorworks engine in that bay. I worked in Morton Grove IL on Ferris ave back in 1984 through 86 at Morton Grove Auto Electric. I remember the Elcamino they had. Bravo Kamikaze for using a great engine from a great engine builder!

Cody Clingerman correct you are Cody, the 429 and big brother the 460 had massive potential. The problem with the 460 is it was never offered in a performance package and people just look at it as a truck engine or a Lincoln engine but when it is opened up so it can breath it's kinda like waking a sleeping giant.

Idk why people hate on 1/8th mile. Getting down on the first half of the track is a lot harder than the back half. Plus I’m sure nobody thinks about slowing down at the shutdown, it’s always sketchy at the shutdown because it feels like there’s not enough runway. I can’t even imagine trying to slow down at 170-180mph.
