Girly wear what you usually wear when you’re in Paris! It’s the fashion capital for a reason! Yes most Parisians will go for a more clean cut look and simpler and timeless look, but that doesn’t mean that you have to too. With your outfits you can see that you’re intentional about them and that usually is what matters to the people that care (whether you should care is another thing ;) ). What is more important is that you learn some basic French etiquette and words, that will go a lot further. Be mindful of your volume of speaking and whether you’re paying mind to the people around you. European cities are a lot more densely populated so we need to be a bit more aware of others :)

I agree with you especially about speaking loud and being aware of your surroundings but I do feel like it's not realistic to dress the same way as in South Cal in Paris considering how easy it is to get assaulted here. I speak from experience! Asm as I would love to dress the way I dressed in Canada (BC), I noticed since moving back to France that I adapted, and so did a lot of other people who used to live in North America. Sadly the cultural difference is strong and we have to stay careful. >.

I second the Paris comment - when I went I had to dress put together, minimalist, and classy (not my colorful maximalist style) because when I didn't people treated me very poorly. It's definitely based on skin color as well - I am brown and the girls I was with were white, dressed very bright and "American", and treated much kinder than I was.

hiii, i live in france!! i just moved here from america!! i think french youths dress even more flamboyantly than when i lived in america. i see young people in bright clothes, patterns and interesting fabrics everyday. they put a lot of effort in their outfits. i see a lot of those handkerchief haltertops (?), tiered skirts with fun patterns, y2k type mini skirts and bags, pants similar to the ones you have. yesterday i saw a boy with those patchwork denim jeans that were really popular last year. it's the capital of fashion babe, go all out! i think your wardrobe would fit right in. love your vids xx PS - ur baby bangs look rlly cute :) the only thing i recommend that you learn is that you must say "bonjour" or "bonsoir" when you enter a shop, and "merci, au revoir" when you leave. you'll only be seen as rude or weird if you don't do that tbh. otherwise ive been chillin so i think you'll be okay.

For places to thrift in Paris, I recommend Oh Lumière it’s slightly curated-so not much fast fashion-but still cheap (5-10 euros mainly) and the owner is nice! It’s not a bad walk to Père lachaise cemetery which is a good day plan :-) also say Bonjour when you enter shops bc it’s customary there 🎀

the kilo shop thrift store is an awesome thrift store in Paris, probably the best thrift store in all of Paris. They have multiple locations and they price almost all of their clothes by the kilogram. So it ends up being really cheap if it's by the kilogram (a bunch of their clothes are like 3 euros). Another cool thrift store in Paris that also has multiple locations is free'p'star. I'm pretty sure all of their items are 10 euros each.

babe please dress as you want when you’re in paris!! there are a lot of stylish people so you’ll fit in just fine with them :) you HAVE to go to the vintage shop Acid Violette. it’s on the expensive side because it’s very curated, but it’s all y2k and 90’s fashion, i LOVE it. free’p’star is also really nice. if you want less expensive thrifts then emaüs is where you gotta go, you can also find some reasonably priced things at kilo shop with good selection, but it depends on the item. there’s a whole cluster of thrift stores in the république area. have a good trip!

my advice for parisian thrift shopping is to avoid intra-muros shopping or thrifts with 'vintage' in the name because it's really gentrified and expensive ! the cheapest ones are in the banlieues (outside of "technically paris" but it's still pretty accessible by commuting), search for "ressourceries" and "recycleries" ! I work in one of these and it's the greatest place on earth lmao but it's closed for all of august :(

Yes in Paris we dont ware lots of grafics or text T shirts To Parisian people it comes over as cheap and easy to easy gooing. Iff you know what I meen. Bring you classic clean cut items and non tippet jeans Ware classy elegant clothes. I m not Parisian but I have famaly living in Paris and my mom was always dressed up as a lady. I prefer the fun clothes thos and I like some humor in my clothes. Bring a raincoat or good umbrella iff you visit Paris X
