From where does it originate from?

It seemed normal until this glitchy dark mass charged for pibby (the protagonist) and her friends. It consumed everyone pibby had ever known. The darkness had consumed many characters from many tv shows, turning them against pibby and other survivors, making them mindless zombies. With the current circumstances, pibby and the other survivors are pushed out of their comfort zones and force to fight against the darkness. (they basically become a bunch of badasses lol)
